I was just on a table and there was a player who was giving such nasty abuse to two players on the table and then started on me too. I don't mind as it was very childish abuse and he made himself look silly. I was wondering though at the time, how some of the greats would deal with a player like this. I have learnt my lesson and have not given any clues as to this players name but would be interested to see how people deal with this. Best wishes. Shaun the Villa fan in Bham.

Is an intentional thing much of the time.  I have a few regs in live 50/1 game who think its okay to act as though they are commentators, speculating on hands in play strength etc.  I dont say a word when Im not in the pot, but I make it pretty clear not to do it when I'm in a hand.

Often is an intentional WUM trick.  But heck, there is a lot of undiagnosed personality disorder out there..............

Make it clear that its out of line, if they continue, talk to the team on the floor.  If there is no floor team not much can really be done if they are that bad.  Just feel super smug when you own them or play elsewhere.

Is usual a case of loudest is first to go broke imo though....unless your Negranue and can just reload for ever :p

Agreed on the point about Loudest usually go home first. I don't play live but I think I would handle it better in that scenario. It just bugs me online because people like that would never have the balls to do it live. Keyboard warriors FTW.lol.

It indicates to me that you've probably got an edge on them as to me it's an early sign of tilt. Another one is when someone types "Zzzzzzzzzzzzz" in to the chat box, it amuses me that either their attention span is so small or again, it's the first stage of going on tilt. Use it to your advantage.

Shaun, I apprciate that the majority of people on the site are capable of dealing with this kind of individual, ignore them,  But for some this kind of verbal abuse is very distressing.  If the individual concern gets away with it, he may well inflict his abuse of others.

There have been cases in the past where good players and contributors to the site have left because of this form of abuse.  I would ask that you inform Customer Care about this incident so it can be nipped in the bud

    Cheers

Great thing is it works really well, If they were trollin' to wind you up, they usually play along with it and turn happyfase, if they really were angry then it really P's them off :D

If you feel it's not serious enough to report I'm with poker fail. It's not a stance I had previously considered but i reckon that could work a treat. What I don't like is when a player at the table has to analyse every hand even if he wasn't in it. I usually tell them that if they want to be an analyst then apply for a job with Sky.
