Multiple Players In Same Household - FAO Sky Staff or Knowledgeable Folk

Hi all,

Just wanted to check with someone like Sky_Dave or someone else who might know...

Me and my girlfriend Emma (Llamas) obviously live in the same house together and both play on Sky Poker. As it is now, we own 1 laptop, so have to take turns playing the things we both like to play, like the DTD and THS Donk-A-Fun.

We were thinking about getting a 2nd laptop so that we could both play at the same time, so I just wanted to check if Sky have any problems with 2 people playing in the same household? Does it cause any problems that we would have the same IP address from the router, but it would have slightly different IP addresses?

Does anyone know if we'd have any problems?

    hi lambert,
me and my brother both live together and  both play on sky.
you can both  play tournaments and end up on the same table together,
you can both play cash but not on the same table as each other.
    :-)

Thanks alot Devon. All sounds good then, Emma doesn't like to play cash anyway so there's no danger of us having problems.

Bring on the domestics when once of us knocks the other out!

not the same but my brother who lives 10miles away plays on site if i see him on cash or stt then i avoid but if we met on mtt table that`s got nothing do with me ( random ) but to be sure i will let others know on table and give them an incentive to bust him unless i do it first.

edit; there would never be any form of collusion between us, we both have our pride and will want to be top dog

There's nothing to worry about, you'll be fine.

I've always been very open that Lea116311 is my partner. We're both regulars in MTTs here and occasionally we enter the same tournament. It's unusual for us to be drawn on the same table but inevitably it happens on rare occasions. We simply move out of each others sight and play against each other as we would against any other player, in fact we're both quite keen to bust the other for bragging rights, our hand history would certainly stand up to any scrutiny.

Neither of us play cash and wouldn't dream of sitting in the same STT. The only exception was a couple of years ago when we played a series of 50p HU SnGs against each other for fun (I won 14-9 and ended up in the dog house!).

I used to live in a shared house (thats how i got into sky - one of my housemates watched ch 865 )

There were 3 of us in the same house but when once 2 of us tried to play an STT or a DYM togethor it wouldn,t let us for obvious reasons.

Obviously MTT,s are different as theres a lot more players but it seems prety fair the way it is imo

Forget your local IP addresses, 'the internet' just sees you both as the single WAN IP address of your router.

    As above, fine mostlys :)
