this one's giving me nightmares

Just got down to 2 tables in the £5000 Double Stack. I'm in second place in the tourney and wanting to get busy.

Any advice about whether i should have ducked out earlier, or even folded to the shove would be appreciated.

Also any alternative lines I could/should have taken.

    Hi m8

    pre-flop fine
    flop fine
turn, I think I bet out here 1/2 pot and I think he probably calls.
I probably put in a blocker bet on the river and hope I'm disciplined enough to sigh fold to the shove.

Really difficult to put him on that hand though, ul.

lol didnt even see we made a pair on the turn :) epic misread

bet more flop, bet more turn then C/C river to keep bluffs in or C/F depending on betsize

When he check raises the turn that big you should be folding the strength he is showing is massive and your behind to so much that does that move. Personally i would never of put him on that hand as it is the strongest possible hand you could be up against but still dont think AT is beaing much or anything here

Is everyone speaking hypothetically or not realised it was all-in before the river?

Can't speak for others but I'm speaking hypothetically as to how I would expect the hand to play out if a different line is taken.

thanks guys that's given me some food for thought. I Imagine a lot of inexperienced players are getting all their chips in with this but I felt at the time I should have gotten away from it. Still, live and learn eh ;)
