I think it's played fine up to the river. When you shove the river, the only thing you're ever gonna see that you'll be 'happy' about, is a split pot.

He is only calling there with an Ace or worse still a 6 or 67

One of the biggest improvements I have made to my MTT game in last year or so is aggro factor in the blinds.

In past I'd have been more than happy to go off to a flopski as option.

But we have sooo many reasons to raise pre here, especially 50bbs deep

Don't wanna de-rail the thread, but I'm always VERY weary of playing virtually anything from the SB (monsters excluded) for the whole reason of the BB playing back at me in them battles and me always being OOP. Do you think you need to learn how to play OOP or just learn not to do it?

Just looked @ this again, didnt realise we had turned TPTK into backdoor wheel.

Hate the river shove, especially after flop board texture.  We arent mergeing where we are making oppo fight for half pot - we are just turning our hand into a bluff, chasing out value & so mny limped hands that call flop hold a 6.

    prob b/f or c/c river

Edit: Not deep enough (in relation to pot) for b/f line.

just bet fold 850 on the river.

the only reason why we wouldn't be 'deep enough relative to pot' aymbr is when our opponent jams wider than just the top end straight.  as is we can just b/f easily.

@ beaneh - Is b/f for around half his stack really ok, I always thought once that much goes in it'd be crazy to fold for the rest, would c/f not be better or maybe c/c small bet ?

Only reason I dont like b/f is I think if I decide to b/f n bet we have around 55% of our stack in (24bb back), so if he does reshove pretty sure I convince self is a chop n call, likely seeing a yuk 56 68 type hand.

a/s - think it's ok if oppo is bad enough to stack with one/two pair hands

can't see b/f 700 being bad, the only problem is when oppo shoves on you with the same hand because oppo will 100%
