if you bet really small to induce a bluff on the river then it's fine.

I would cbet bigger, bet/f the turn and bet bigger on the river.

seems as though you got caught between 2 lines here, you got to think your ahead after flop so bet bigger for value, turn fine and i would check call river.
would like to ask beaneh "why bet river more?"

    Neil has a four imo

I dont understand why we would bet the turn mr beane sir, cos they are not folding an ace or a four, what are we getting value from? Are you betting for info... cough... lol, ok diamond draws and mid pp's can come along if they are stoopid.

also what would your turn bet size be into two opponants in this spot? guess about £7?

Neil cold calling (which is pocket pair heavy) has allowed X to potentially come in with a wide range(if he opens wide from utg that is?)so his range is not necessarily Ace heavy. I would c-bet flop bigger from SB, turn as played i would bet/fold ~7, its a great card to bluff with 88,66 KQs etc , and you can get value from flush draws or a stubborn JJ, 1010 etc with your QQ i think.

Checking turn is not bad, you can get thin value from villains weak holdings by v-betting river, for me X rarely has an A since there's not much value in re-raising the way he did, so its pretty polarised to 4x, 22, or missed flush draw/air. What were you trying to achieve with the small lead on the river m8?

Your bet on river too small, better to check call actually.

bet bigger on flop so pot is ~16 on turn if 3way. then bet 12 ish on the Ace and fold to a raise, be very wary if called. they can still call with worse mid pairs and fd's etc.

    Interesting analysis.

    Oppo had 4,4 for quads.
