Sick Hand - Correct to fold turn? - As seen on Super Roller

Fairly early stages on the 25k Super Roller.

Am i correct to fold here?

Fairly Standard opening on the button.

When the flop comes and the player in the SB leads, i'm hoping for safe turn and river cards, to call down on small bets, but then when the scare card comes on the turn and am I correct to fold to the large re-raise, I know i'm behind but if the cards comes on the river i know i'm getting paid

I agree with Redmond on the show that this is a fold - So many rivers where you're going to c/f, or worse, put more money in and be behind to a house on that board a lot of the time. Sick river, but you didn't do anything wrong IMO, infact, good fold.

    well played.

you have two ways to think about this hand. they will set you up for poker in the future

    1) I folded because it is unlikely I will improve to the nizzles and we don't think we are winning/getting the right price.

    2) I should have called because in this particular tournament, which is most likely a large buyin for me I would have hit a 1 outer and therefore it would have been a good call.

    Hint- choose a longterm mentality.....

If you call here you might aswell get your buy in and whack it on green zero on the roulette because essentially you have better odds of that coming in than the one outer.
Nice fold and well played on your cash

no one likes to gamble here, 450 one time for the royal out of a stack of 9500 - 300bb+ stack

5% of stack ONLY - GAMBLE GAMBLE -

Come on if we hit we golden right )

It's really important to be results orientated. How could you not feel that King of spades coming? Precognition is the most important skill in poker.

    :P

Tis like saying we call a bet n raise with smallPP on unco ordinated board with 4 overs @ turn to hit a river set @ 5%....but half as likely.

What we doing when off suit K falls?

I let clock run down and sigh at how pwetty my hand is, but always fold.

Saw it live and all I could think was "shame the trip 10s opted to raise it".

    Nice hand
