Should be a fold, but in a £1 mtt they dont have to have you beat, but against two players u would have to dodge plenty of overcards

    Still a fold, on balance

Got to be fold or shove pre for me.

Calling 3bets (even min ones) OOP is not going to be profitable (you don't have set-mining odds imo). If it was just intial raise that's fine but here you could just be creating dead money if first raiser decides to 4bet.

Also in this spot where you somehow flop an overpair I would argue it could be best to fold to scoucer's bet as you are likely against a bigger pair (I presume you were set-mining pre?) and even if he hasn't playing future streets when A/K/Q/J hits will be very tough to make perfect decisions.

As played easy fold but I personally don't think you should have got this far.

call pre in a small buyin, fold in a bigger.

fold flop regardeless as we did not match our eights with an eight on the board.

I always want at least 15-1, that's 3000, what's in pot + biggest effective stack is 3060 but this is JUST about good enough, however like I say we might not even see a flop in this hand.

Still fold or shove pre for me.

This is the key to me. We can't really set-mine because we're not closing the action. We end up donating 200 extra chips to the pot when we're shoved on behind by the initial raiser. Set-mining for 10% of your stack isn't too good anyway. Correction: It's not 10% of your stack. I was looking at the flop stacks.

Why do we choose to play badly in smaller BI but good in higher BI ?

If you'd seen the turn, you would have won alot, not lost. 8's full of 4's beats 4's full of Queens... I'm guessing you misread the board. lol
