Just like to thank everyone involved in the tournament tonight/this morning! I somehow managed to luckbox my way to 3rd place. Was a fantastic experience from the excellent live show to the die hard rail providing nothing but encouragement. A brilliant advert for the site and the structure allowed for a great amount of play which was lot of fun :) So thanks again guys, I really enjoyed it!

Well done.  Pretty epic exit hand!

Yeah hopefully more of these can be run by Sky.  This can def be a monthly feature on the site IMO.

Really enjoyed the tournament, thought the structure was great. Was a lot of good play and at times I felt like I may have been out of my depth but somehow I managed to play my best game at final table (maybe i was just lucky) and somehow made the win. Well done to everyone who cashed :-)

Nice post, very well played and welcome to the forum.. Please visit more often! What stakes/games do you usually play, and what were the key hands in the mtt that got you there? Did you have to make any key folds/calls?

    Also very well played Shaun

Thanks for the welcome Greg, MTTs are my preferred game although I don't play all that often. Used to play a fair bit of live poker a few years ago but only manage the odd cash game now (though not very good at cash) so I play a bit more online.

This tournament was more expensive than I really should be buying in for, tried to satellite in but failed. I do prefer to play tournaments with a decent buy in amount though as the calibre of player is generally better and players are capable of folding hands.

2 hands stand out in my memory where I made big calls. At about midnight I had QK on a Q high board with 3 hearts. I'd been the agressor i nthe hand until the river when opponent went all-in with a massive over bet. If I called and lost would have been down to about 20k, made the call and he had A of hearts and missed flush. A smaller bet may have made me fold but such a large bet made me suspicious.

2nd was at final table with 3 left against Nagrom, there had been a bit of play between us and new he was capable of a move. I had A 10 and flop came 10 high. I c bet and Nagrom moved all in and I called. That then made me big chip leader going heads up.

Absolutely agree with Nagrom on this, best tourny I've played on sky, live show was great (always enjoy Remdond's analysis) and the rail were nothing but encouraging to every player left in. Gutted myself to have gone out 22nd in the end but thoroughly well deserved 3rd place there mate, was rooting for ya to go on and win it! (though was hoping I'd be able to make this a brag post really haha)

Incidentally, who went on to win it? Went straight to sleep after so missed the final table etc

    Thanks for your reply

I found the highlighted part interesting. I know what you mean, because you obviously have some good board reading and poker ability from your comments. I would also have bought in last night if i was home in time, although my br shouldnt strictly allow it because i too enjoy playing against better players and bluffing them :) But, overall its surely got to be more profitable playing against "fish"
