Love your enthusiasm, panache. technique etc; but try to be a little more direct in future posts. Vagueness and ambiguity will not be tolerated.
Wow!! what a thread!! all this arguing and b**ching ..... W T F!!! this is supposed to be a happy place! is it not!! FFS!! the real problem for the forum being messed up ( in my opinion it's not changed that much! ) is all the arguing going on about people posting! People have a word for chuff's sake! all this is not a good advert for the forum!!
A forum has no rules on how many posts you should or have to make, neither does it dictate the subject as to what you write. People need to take a chill pill and have a cadbury's caramel and take it easy!
I am almost positive with the good job that rich does here that he would weed out the serial posters, who are just trying to get into the freeroll tourney. I would be cast in that catergory sometimes with one line replies. But sometimes that's all it requires, or are we saying we need to write books in replies to posts now!
Come on people get a grip, we're supposed to be a community here, which is what i like so much about here! if this continues then 1 of two things is going to happen .....
1. people will be afraid to post, which will stifle the forum in general which will be to all our detriments!
2. People will just leave and go somewhere else, again to our detriment.
Either way we will all lose out Can we have an end to these hostilities pleaseeeee Love you all big much!!!!!!!!!!!!
Marge your slobbering again ) well said btw. Posted by elsadog
Only saying it as i see it! can't be any other way really lol what you see is what you get! i am sure loads will disagree an get some stick for it .... but s**t happens nowt i can do about that
been married to long now, not to have it perfected!!! took a long time but i think i am finally here!! an i do anyway, your all a great crowd!! that's just the way it is buddy!
i think that ultimately the posters freeroll will have a net benefit to the site, as it encourages us to post comments rather than just reading others thoughts and then moving on to another thread. I must admit that i tended to just read forum threads without posting, but once sky rich announced the posters freeroll, and more importantly the reasoning behind it, I have made an effort to post in threads if I have an opinion on them. If I dont have much interest in a thread, then I leave it alone, and wont post just for the sake of it. I think that the change in posting behaviour that i have adopted was the kind that the posters freeroll was intended to induce.
In the short term, there may be more posting of short, aimless posts, but they will subside. I also think that sky-rich makes a point of discarding those posts that he deems as spam or of limited content, so that will also encourage the quality of forum posts to increase in line with quantity.
Finally, no one should be castigated for posting, regardless of previous behaviour or motive. Everyone that makes an effort to enter the forum has an equal right to make a point, and then we can respond either in agreement or disagreement, or move the discussion on another direction. Alternatively, we can ignore it if it is not of interest.
