I've just played a bounty hunter, via sky broadband, and I believe i've lost several good hands due to slow broadband speed. I found this terribly frustrating as I was with B.T and had no problem. I will in future look other internet providers, and other poker sites.

Sky Poker and Sky broadband are different companies. I had problems with Sky Broadband before but they eventually sorted them out. Don't blame/leave Sky poker over this though as the site is a great place to play. It has a great community and some really good features. Stick with it and I hope to see you on the tables soon. Sky Broadband has no real connection to Sky Poker. No one from Sky Broadband will monitor this forum and no one from customer services for Sky poker monitors this forum or will refer your post to Sky Broadband. This is a forum just for the players.
It's ok, a lot of people make this mistake, but what you have done is the equivalent of complaining to passengers waiting for a Virgin Atlantic flight about Virgin Money and telling everyone you won't be getting on the plane because of a banking problem. I really would suggest contacting Sky Broadband directly.
OK back to the original post. Please remember that there are several links in the chain of playing poker and the vast majority of the time it works 'smoother than a smooth thing' (as Tikay would say!).
So we have:
- Your computer - Your browser / software - Sky Poker software - Your router - Your ISP - The phone network / exchange
You wouldnt believe how often we get people blaming one of these (sometimes Sky Poker) then coming back and apologising saying - 'oops sorry there was a fault with my computer / router'
There's a great section on the community called 'Community Help & Advice' where people are more than happy to help identify issues and provide potential solutions.
Also, if you think it's something Sky Poker related, we'll be more than happy to help. I guess the point Tommy is making is that, if you know or suspect it's something to do with your Sky Broadband or any ISP, they would be better placed (and more than happy) to help.
