i dont want to sound like im complaining coz im not but this freeroll has always been money or free bets my concern about the winner getting a spot on the vlv final and the rest getting a spot on a semi is rather silly for one terms and condintions must be over 21 to play in vegas say the person that wins is not 21 pointless entry no 2 not everyone might have a passport pointless please can sky reexamine this prize and put it back to cash or freebets then no problems can arise

    1) The winner of the freeroll actually goes to Vegas, 2nd gets into the final, everyone else gets nothing.
    2) T&C's say under 21's don't get entered into the freeroll, so no risk of someone winning a package and not being able to play.
    3) I'm sure if someone won a £10k package, they wouldn't have any problems spending £77.50 on a Passport, lol.

I must admit, it is pretty tilting every time I log on the site and see "Viva Las Vegas!", and every time I load the client and see "Fancy a trip to Vegas?" - Yes, I do fancy a trip to Vegas but I'm under 21... ¬_¬

Nonetheless, I still think it's a great promotion for the majority of players on the site. Under 21's don't get anything whatsoever for 25k points AFAIK, but I'm sure if someone under 21 asked their Priority Customer Care guy nicely enough, they'd be able to get a few main event seats instead or something.

If I was 21, I'd be grinding my backside off to get 70k points, or as close to it as possible, for the best chance of going to Vegas - It's a brilliant promotion for anyone who is old enough. Yeah, it sucks that some people aren't catered for in this promotion, but for the minority to deny anyone that opportunity of a lifetime would be selfish IMO.

    Ah, I see.

Nonetheless, I think some of the points above are still valid - If you did eventually end up winning a package, you wouldn't care about the £77 for a passport, and I'm sure under 21's in Priority Club have been taken into consideration and will be looked after, whether Sky choose to announce it or not. I doubt they'll be allowed to register for the Vegas tournaments, or enter the Priority Freeroll.

Besides, the Priority Freeroll is exactly that - Free. I don't think anyone can complain about free stuff :) Might not be the free stuff that some people want, but it's much better than nothing.

where i understand this is a freeroll and its free some players  including myself have no interest in going to vegas if i did i would play in the numorous sats and tournis they have for this. this freeroll is one perk off priority that is every month and can be cash or a freebet which is a format i enjoy as i said vegas is not something i could entertain with work kids and other commitments if i was single didnt work then great bring it on so please sky leave the vlv for sats and tournis for players that want to play it not this freeroll

so what if someone if self-excluded from Skybet, surely they are being discriminated against if free bets are given out

I would love to go to Vegas, but family and work means it would make it very difficult and upset more people than its worth (Unless I won the WSOP). None the less, for Sky to put up £1,000 satelite as 1st prize and 5 £220 satelites is very generous IMO.

I won't play it, but I still appreciate the offer and will wait for next months.

    Hi Charles,

It was not my intention to reply on this thread - I'm sure you can imagine why! - but I have to respond to that.

I think there are TWO seperate Promotions getting mixed up here.

    There is this one, HERE

The Prizes for that one include a FULL £10,000 Viva Las Vegas package - the whole lot, crash bang wallop. The runner up gets a Viva Las Vegas May Final seat, worth £1,100. So, prizes worth over £11,000. It is in the Tourney Lobby under "Priority VLV Final", with, currently, zero runners - because qualification remains open until the end of Aprill & only THEN the lobby can be populated with those who got 25,000 C4P or more in April.

The OTHER Promotion you are confusing it with, I think, is the "Priority Freeroll", which is an invite only Freeroll for ALL Priority Club Members. You can see that one in the Lobby, under the Tourney Title "Priority Freeroll". It currently has 34 runners. It has prizes worth about  £2,300, being ONE Viva Las Vegas FINAL seat (value £1,100) & FIVE Viva Las Vegas Semi-Final seats, each worth £240.

I suppose you MIGHT also be getting confused with the Grand National Freeroll, too, which is HERE

That one has all sorts of prizes, but most of them (not all) are NOT Viva Las Vegas related.

Its easy to see where the confusion arose, Charles, as Sky Poker are giving so much away right now.

    Hi Tikay

Thanks for the response. I wasn't getting confused ( I don't think), I was only talking about the Priority freeroll which includes ALL priority members as I think its very unlikely I'll get 25k C4P this month (or any while I'm in full time work).

What I was meaning was although I may not play the freeroll open to all priority players this month I appreciate the offer Sky have put on, as it would be a great FREE prize for many people. (I was defending Sky not disagreing with the promotion).

As your looking on this thread, could I ask a quick question... As we both know doing this can cause problems (lol) but If I did play the priority freeroll and won a seat into either the VLV Semi (£240) or VLV final (£1100) would I be able to withdraw and get the money? Whether it be just the actual seat value without the reg fee... Thought Id better ask this time and not 'expect' to be able to do it.

    Thanks

    Hi Charls,

No, I was fully aware that you were supportive, but due to the variety of Promotions currently on offer, some confusion was bound to arise. I just wanted to clarify it, that was all.

As to your further question, sorry, I have no idea, I suggest you speak to the Dan in Priority , he'll know the answer. I suspect it will be "no", because that's not quite the spirit of the thing. Everyone here is trying very hard to come up with different stuff, & sometimes these things "clash", or crossover. We would like to think a commonsense approach by all would prevail.

Hope you & the tribe are well.

In relation to the monthly priority freeroll with an 1100 squid seat in vlv final as first prize (and NOT the 25k points one and not the grand national freeroll (which is full already)) I read the T&Cs as I had already won a seat in the vlv final this month (as I may or may not have mentioned elsewhere) and what it says there is that a cash alternative is available ONLY if someone is under 21 OR has already qualified for the VLV final this month (that's me by the way).  So I'm afraid there is no cash alternative for those people too committed to their mundane lives to want to play in the World Series of Poker MAIN EVENT.
