Hand-for-hand satellite query

Thoughts on this please guys: I was playing in the semi for the £22 BountyHunter, with 36 players winning seats, and 37th about £13. The tournament went to hand-for-hand with 38 left, as usual. A player went out, meaning 37 were left. This put myself (on 1700 chips) and a player on another table (110 chips) both all in on the following hand on the big blind. We both lost. However because our hand was over quicker, he received the seat, as apparently the hand-for-hand is cancelled for the actual bubble. Both hands started simultaneously (the hand before was still in hand-for-hand). Does this mean the fact I have more chips is irrelevant? And why does the hand-for-hand stop for the actual bubble? I have spoken to CC, and it has been passed onto the poker team, just wondering people's opinions. Cheers

Not sure about this but you sound unlucky to me.

I would also expect the biggest stack to get the seat in this kinda situation.

Wait and see what they say, they might offer you something.

Interestingly it seems that you had the exact opposite result to mine Sporny. In mine, the bigger stack was irrelevant, and they based it solely on hand finishnig time, after both hands started simultaneously. Yours was what I thought hand-for-hand would do, although obviously without the lobby making the mistake of showing you as a seat winner.
Have just had an email saying they are still looking into it for me.

hope they sort it for you, i`m still disappionted that i thought as did everyone on my table that i made it only too find out when was not regged, and that i to chase it up as i never got a response via email when they said.

to say i`m disappionted with delayed response from sky and not getting the seat that lobby said i did is an understatement.
