I was just wondering if you could disclose your exact holding during a live hand, i was under the impression that if i was holding a pair of aces and an opponent involved in the hand asked me " are you holding a pair of aces" i could not say yes i am, i thought you had to lie and say maybe no or no i have a pair of kings, am i right?
Had a disagreement in the pub and would appreciate feedback.
thanks all.

It varies from Casino to Casino, but the most-respected & used rule says you must not reveal your hand during the play of the hand.
Personally, I don't think you should say what you HAVE or HAVE NOT got.
It's just speech-play, & most players don't really understand the concept of speech-play. Best to say nowt, & look daft. That's what I do. Rich Orford taught me that.
You would get throttled within a inch of your life, if you disclose what u had,,
KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT,,is the golden rule
