The Friday Fred

What’s your plans then?

I’ve got 6 hours of motorway driving today – on a FRIDAY, sigh – but follow that with an all night Dealers Choice cash game tonight. Some good, some bad…..

Tomorrow, a £100 Tourney in Nottingham.

I had to miss the big jamboree there last week, due to work, but I’m not overly keen on the place when it is rammed to the rafters with 600 peeps, I much prefer it a little less packed. Crowds, I don’t like so much.

Sunday, just chilling. Lot going off at Sky Poker right now, LOTS, so a little R & R on Sunday will be just the job.

I know what one young lady will be doing – Samantha – celebrating!

What a grand thing that was last night, Facebook & Twitter were BUZZING, though I felt a little for kohan. Still, he can still qualify.

I LOVE to see the “regular” players bink these things, I confess.

So, what are YOU up to this weekend?

I'm off to Aspers in Stratford to play a tournie.  Never been to this casino before. Always good to see new venues.  I imagine the cash games there during the OLympics will be wild!

Will try and spam Sky as much as poss!

What game do you normally chose when you are the dealer?

Is your choice ever strategic? Do you consider who's in the blinds, who might be tilting, game flow etc?

Or do you just chose the game you're strongest at?

    Looking forward to the weekend

Planning on a nice relaxed evening in with the wife tonight, a bottle of wine and a DVD probably.

Hopefully, hangover dependant will get out on the mountain bike around the red route at Sherwood Pines in the morning.  Home for lunch then hopefully mow the lawn and get a bit done in the garden in glorious sunshine in the afternoon.  Maybe out into town for a bit to eat and a little drink in the evening before retiring to bed for an early(ish) night in readiness for Sunday.

Sunday - nice leisurely ride around the local woods on my mountain bike to get the adrenaline pumping and set me up for the day.  1pm pick up my mate and drive over to Dusk til Dawn for day 1A of the Grand Prix.  Say hello to a few of the Sky players in the bar before completely SMASHING up the tourney and building myself an absolute mountain of chips to take forward to day 2.

    HAPPY DAYS :)

This Sunday I shall be running the London Marathon (well running most of it and walking some bits I expect). Fifth London, and sixth marathon in all - not done anywhere near enough training to beat previous personal best, just hoping that knees/ankles etc. hold out for 26 miles.

My parents are over from France. To earn their board and lodgings they are babysitting tonight, thus enabling Wife to join me in the pub for a glass of whatever she drinks. Saturday will see me take down the M.E. and mini thereby bagging the jackpot. All of which sets me up nicely for Sundays assault on DTD Grand Prix title, hopefully setting up a weekend of poker for days 2 and 3 of the tourney, next Saturday and Sunday

Magic! It's so good the people do such things, well done you.

Tell you what - if you FINISH the whole 26 miles (no fibbing - we'll trust you) - you will play Tuesday's Thews @ Ten as our guest.

    Deal?

The tracks around sherwood Pines are really good and improving all the time, they are continuously improving it and personally love the red route, it's not nearly as technical as some but is great fun to ride and you can have it done inside an hour if you're really pushing on.  I'd definately recommend it.

This Saturday will be going up to London with my parents and meet up with my sister and her fiance for lunch before all going to see Noises Off, which is my dad's birthday present. Hopefully will find out from my sister what reading it is exactly she wants me to do at her wedding next month and what she wants me to wear.

Sunday, other than the normal Sunday stuff I get up to, I will be meeting up with a friend I havent seen since December and going for a drink somewhere. Last time I saw him we played poker at Aspers in Newcastle and I final tabled 2 nights in a row getting £180 on the first night and £1,600 on the next night (and £295 on the slot machines). Actually thinking about it maybe we should go to the casino instead seeing as he bought such luck last time.
