What should happen is the 'flipped' card goes in the middle of the table as the burn like Tikay said.. the rest of the deal is carried on as usual (so the player who had their card flipped does not get the next card) I.E seat 3's card is flipped, next card goes to seat 4.. carry on until all other players have 2 cards and then the next card goes to the player who had the card flipped. At this point the dealer should check again that everyone knows what the flipped card is and is then put back on top of the deck and will be the burn.
I play regularily at DTD and just as Tikay says, it is used as the first burn card, clearly stated in the rules on their site. Dave Posted by SolarCarro
And if DTD do it, you KNOW it's right. They is the schmizz.
Expessially to tikay who said its how live events are organized, as tournament director of the venue i feel ashamed lol. However ive only done that roll for two weeks and already improving the venue, Had its busiest turnout tuesday past. I will be implementing this as if next week.
Just read this thread with interest. my gut instinct was that it would be a redeal but as Tikay and others have stated, it should be the first burn card.
I was just wondering if there is any specific reasoning behind that policy. Perhaps tikay would know why this procedure is preferred to doing a redeal? What are the advantages of this over a re-deal?
