Alrite ladies/fella's.
Thaught i would post and say hello, got friends that play here who keep telling me to so. Names Andy, hailing from Worcestershire. Learnt to play poker about two years ago during my time in the army and have loved it ever since. Only recently got into this online malarky as on initially trying it i just kept going bust. Learnt the hard way and i now seem to be making a small but steady profit (With the occasional bad run). Playing in a local pub league with Robbierott/Wel5hie and others and the occasional night at Star city casino. Hoping to get in on these MTTs and possibly get my first SPT downrange soon.

Thinking of buying in direct for SPT Cardiff, not made of money but i know i could pish that on a friday night up town so why not. Am hoping i might be able to get an idea/advice from you lovely people on the SPT experience. I assume there is more to it than just poker. Travel/accomodation arrangements and other expense's etc. Do you think maybe it is worthwhile me getting to know people here first, or baptism-o-fire it? :D

Thanks in advance people, sure ill be donating chips to ya'll in no time :D

Andy

Hi Andy! Your friends are right posting in the forum is a good thing. You can let off steam and wail about the bad beats and potsing hands in the clinic is a good way to get better - take the advice you get with a pinch of salt but some of it will be good (just ignore any from me!)

Respect your bankroll and good luck with your game mate.

I was watching sky tv yesterday and the commentator indicated that we may soon be able to play internet poker on our i pads.  Does anyone out there know any more about this topic?  Thank you.

Thanks for the welcome people :)

Samantha, is there one word for someone who is a fish, a nit, a donkey and a massive bluffer all at the same time? If not, call it a robbie haha!
