Shuffle HU - Bounty Version?

Simple yes or no question.

We know there's been a lot of people enjoying the new Heads-up Shuffle games.

But should we do a bounty hunter version?

It would certainly be great fun and (because it's 1-on-1 and get opponents to yourself) you could collect a lot of bounties. You could also get allocated someone with a big bounty too.

On the flipside, you might do all the hard work, get someone down to 100 chips, get close to collecting a bounty from them and then randomly get shuffled away. Of course, your loss would be someone elses gain!

Thanks

Would make them a bit manic... HU can be manic enough as it is.

But I think it's worth a go, I reckon you should stick up a couple, maybe do a poll on when people would like to do them, so you don't run one at a time when no-one turns up.

I hate normal BH's due to the way the prizepool is dristributed.

But even I give 100% yes to this, great idea, and players will love it!

6 max BH's, no matter how skillfull you are, you can't get bounties without getting good cards.

    Totally different HU.

    Yeah, my thoughts exactly.

Getting bountys in normal BHs is largely down to getting good cards at the right time. HU is a whole different ballgame, and if you're really strong at HU you could really crush it for heads even ig you don't cash.

Well, I think it's time for a dissenting voice.

I have no problem with these tournaments in general. If they're popular, then by all means run them. However if you're looking to come up with new tournaments, I can't help but think that it would be nice to have scheduled, regular heads-up tournaments instead of different variants of the shuffle tourneys...

It's not for me to say what should and shouldn't happen, but I'd prefer one of the main events to be a HU tournament. Perhaps instead of the bounty hunter on a Monday night. Even if not a main event, it would be nice to find some of these tournaments cropping up.

I only said "they are looking into them", it is not a done deal yet!

"We shall see", as Dad used to say, when we pestered him for something.

Thoughts on temporarily sticking the shuffles in the HU sng lobby sky_poker/tikay10?

'New' things seem to get xxx numbers then decline abit, but even with the 'new' factor, these aren't exactly smashing gntees.

Think putting them in the HU bit of the sng lobby for a week or so might help.

A turbo version might work too.

    It might not though :(

OK all, we've put a trial in the lobby for this at 1:05pm.

As ever, we can tweak things based on feedback from you all.

    Hope you like it!

The big downside to this would be the scenario when you destroy your opponent down to say 20 chips, then the shuffle moves you on, and someone nips in for the bounty. Bad enough when you get table shifted in a normal BH with a player crippled chip-wise. To happen HU would be a proper kick in the do-dahs!

For every downside, there is an upside, or as, I think, Einstein said, for every action, there is a reaction.

Be pretty neat to be the right end of that equation, & be the player that gets "gifted" the shortie.

i see them as MTTs (because they are).  i would never think to find them in SNGs (because they're not STTs).  maybe best leave them in MTT section imo.

I hear you, Tikay. The important thig to note is that whether you glass is half full or half empty, in either event, there's room for more vodka.

+1, I think the player pool would drop if you put them in SNG's, leave them in the MTT section.

Good thinking but this isn't possible I'm afraid.

    Keep the suggestions coming though.

Its swings and roundabouts. I was obviously the odd one out of the 25 starters as I had to sit on my own and wait for somebody else to take a bounty before I got to play.
