Home Game Blinds

Just a quick query.

Having a home game next week with up to ten players all with 10k starting stack. Blinds starting at 50/100 with no ante and going up every 10 or 12 mins. (times not decided yet)

How high should the blinds rise in relation to the amount of chips in play or should they just keep raising. Only asking as i've played a few where they had a cap on how high they went up to.

Cheers

Paul

    Hi Typhoon

I find the following structure works pretty well and game lasts around 3 to 4 hours if you make it a double chance event 10K chips to start with another 10K when knocked out or are down to 1K chips or less. Blinds are 15 minutes.

    50/100  100/200  200/400  300/600  400/800  Break  500/1000  800/1500  1000/2000 1500/3000  2000/4000  Break

    3000/6000  4000/8000  5000/10000  8000/15000  10000/20000

All outstanding chips are issued at the first break.

Usually down to 2 players by the 8000/15000 level

Personally I'd suggest 8,000/16,000 rather than 7,500/15,000 as you might want to chip up and get the 500s off the table :)
