Stupid fold?

Lost concentration here - can anyone see this as a good fold? I reckon I'm about 14-1 to river the nuts but is thistoo tight?

Just minraise preflop, making this size raise means you have to do same with rubbish hands too which makes postflop harder all round as pot is bigger, bigger cbet etc.

If flop was rainbow better to call but with it being flush draw you might hit and still be dead.

Turn fold again for same reasons as flop.

Can't see your stack size so don't know your m value. You're in a T and got a raise. You call ...ok imo.
Flop calls and he bets.....what does he have? Has he been aggro? I'd fold at this stage myself.
I don't agree with the suck out idea no matter the odds as you are in a T for what may be all your chips or at least hurt your stack considerably.
However there are better players than me offering different advice.
"Variety is the spice of....."and all that though, eh?

You were asked to call 400 into a pot of 5800 with 1 card to come. Odds are as you said(14/1) with 3 aces and 4 10's to come which is about 7/1.

I think a call would have been right-could someone check my maths and confirm?

Yeah, on the turn you're getting about 14/1 if sizzling calls behind. Those pot odds give you the right price to call even if you don't get another penny out of the other two. (Three Tens to hit for the nuts = 7% or so)

So I think it's a call on the turn and cross your fingers that sizzling doesn't raise behind. Having called the flop for 400 I don't think you should now fold the turn for the same amount when being offered better odds.

That's not to say I think you should have called the flop. It's the nut-worst flop for your hand and you could be drawing to just three or four outs. I'd prefer a raise to a call on the flop - At least that way you'd assert some strength and could rely on the information you get back - but I think it's actually a pretty straightforward fold. Even against such a tiny bet you don't need to get too tricky on a wet board that smacks your opponents' pre-flop calling ranges in the mouth.

Dudeskin is right about the pre-flop raise too. Some people tend to think they should make their pre-flop raises bigger out of position. Normally, as here, it just results in playing an inflated pot out of position. Keep it to a min-raise when the blinds are big in a tournament.

Lots to take in here. I did some serious damage to my stack on this hand and ended up the bubble boy a few hands later.

I usually run pretty deep in tourneys with this type of structure but I'm seldom in good shape on the final table or two. If I'd been paying more attention I might have adjusted the pre-flop down to take early position into account but I was cross at the way i played this generally and your comments have shown I had good reason.

3x isnt that bad pre imo, there are reasons to make it less, but its not like he 5x it

Flop and turn are very easy calls unless you think you are likely to get raised behind. You need to be careful though when you hit some of your dirty outs ie Ts or an A

Raising flop may be an option, but I dont really like it readless
