Saw Ross & Barney Boatman on with Carlo & Anna a couple of nights ago,sticking up for the older players and saying how many younger players there is these days.
Good on yer guys,I'm with you all the way,being an established member of the Old Brigade.

When you think of the generations of poker players, it's pretty astounding. Brunson, Cloutier, Tikay in the Dinosaur Era. Chan, Seidel, Ferguson, Hellmuth in the middle-aged. Then the hundreds and thousands of internet kids who crush the game - Dwan, Galfond, Elky, Cody, etc. All of them have utterly different ways of playing the game and thoughts about how to make their living. All of them have been successful. That complete difference in approaches to the game is what makes poker such a beautiful game, imo.

As for the Boatmans, they're lovely blokes, as are the rest of the Hendon Mob. They and Devilfish really helped boost the profile of UK poker before the Moneymaker boom and so have to be given real kudos for that.

i mentioned this last week or so about how it would be good if we could have a battle of the ages mtt so depending what age gap you are you gain points for that age bracket i.e if you are between ages 18-24, 25-30, 31-35, 36-40 and so on. See who comes out on top the younger or the older players.

This has already been done on Sky....TKO. Tikay v Orford. LML v Tikay etc etc. I am not sure if the oldies won any. LOL.
