I would say that SnGs/DYMs/MTTs are more suited to a new/newish player than cash.

Its easier to get used to the dynamics of the game and more importantly you know how much you are risking per game.  In cash sometimes it can get a bit messy with some multiple reloads....so yeah its nice to have a set amount that you can lose at the start.

Try and get used to some decent BRM.  I'd advice something like 20-30 buy ins to start with for SnGs/DYM.  It's very easy to jump in and play the big games as they are so tempting BUT you have to start out small and build up at the start :)

Good luck and let use know how you are getting on with emails/comments on the show!

The Forum DTD is a series of 3 tournies that run every monday night on Sky Poker.

The total entry fee is 5.50 and 2 forum members, Scouse Red and DTWBandit, run a league too so there is added value plus bragging rights.

They usually put up a thread on the forum a couple of days before the tournies on Monday.  Here is an old thread that explains it all.

An excellent way to get involved in the community and also have fun/learn too.

Agree with all scotty77 had to say. The £1.10 and £2.20 deepstack tourneys will provide you with a lot of play and some room to make a few mistakes early on whilst still staying in the tournament. The £30 pound buys a lot of entries to the £1.10 games,so go enjoy and gd luck at the tables.

Slighty annoyed that IDCU has decided that  he'd waste our time with this thread but I wont lose any sleep over it.

hello Mohican,.......just seen your reply and I hope the other posters and your good self, don't think I was laughing at any of you (as it was not my intention) because it would definitely have made feel a little of all the emotions that I mentioned.
When I remarked ," it's sooo funny" etc: I was highlighting or maybe I should say 'trying to highlight' the point that (if idonkcallu) is in fact 'ih8tolose', then the mindset he has to play the dual role and cover his tracks by starting this thread......my sincere apologies to you and all the other posters if you feel you have been offended as I genuinely did not mean to do so......Billy

Only saw the other thread after posting on this one. Have to agree that there's a reasonable amount of track coverage in IDCU posting this thread and my slight miffage at him wasting people's time. Your comments actually highlighted what was going on.No offence taken.
    regards,
    Mohican.
