Personally, if the hand is still in play and I'm not involved, I keep quiet

    NEVER do that!

Jeez, you'd get a slap round the chops in most Live Venues if you did that!

VERY bad etiquette, & manners, indeed.

ok, thanks for that boss .but what if they ask has anyone mucked that particular card. ie ace of spades. "yeah i had it", "you mucked a ace!" would probably be the reaction. what then? do i answer the man.?

To be honest, I don't think anyone would ask that but if they do, probably best to just say I'm not sure.

Yeah it's just bad poker to fold when you have the option to check. You may or may not see online, but certainly online, even if you check knowing you have 100% lost, it still gives you the chance to see their cards if it goes to showdown, folding takes that away from you.

Windy, I think you're correct in what you say, and I've done, what you say, with the knowledge that it might influence other players.

If thats regarded as ' bad poker etiquette ', so be it, however, I only play at the lowest levels, ie...£2.20  D/Stacks, and if you're  talking about ' bad poker ' thats the place to go. I'm not talking about newbees to poker, but regulars who play every day, there are a lot of ( not all by any means ) the worst players you can find anywhere.

I hate this , so many people do this in my local casino and i try to explain to them how it will affect the action but they just dont get it.
I also think people who stand up once looking at their hand and just leave the table for it to be mucked should be warned or given a time ban for acting out of turn .

As a general rule, if you have folded your hand - DO NOT SPEAK ABOUT THE HAND IN PROGRESS. Do not react to a river card that completed your draw. If the flop comes 772 and you folded 72o don't say a word. If you think you know what a player who is still in the hand has and how he should bet on the river don't say a word. If you must comment on the hand do so AFTER the hand. I don't even like it when players say they fold but keep their cards to one side away from the muck so they can show what they have folded. Just don't do it. See these hands:

    Don't do this:

i wait until after all the cards have been dealt before telling anyone i had those perticular cards and thats after they have left the table and are out of ear shot. If they still have plenty of chips left and are sat at the table after all cards have been dealt you can say something then and wind um up a bit to put a bit of tilt there way, in a nice way of coarse. But if someone said i have your only out before the cards were dealt i wouldnt like it done to me as we play poker for the buzz of whats comeing and it gets the old adrenilin goin and id want hope even if there were none lol.

As anything in life we should ask ourself if we would like it done to us.  I personally would like a bit of hope, glass half full.

in the later stages of sattelites I do exactly this to influence the play,  IMO this is not bad etiquette it is simply poker strategy

i presume this is to get action between 2 players rather than 3 and hopefully let one knock the other out? never heard of this stratagy and sounds like a good one to me i dont see this as bad etiquette if you have the option to fold rather than check and it lets you so be it.

Worst thing for me live is when your on a disision to call an all in for your torny life and people not in the hand start babbling when you are making the decision but thats in live.

The worst etiquette of all is SLOW ROLLING and I fear it is on the increase....
