Right then you lovely poker people, here’s your weekend show on 865:

Sunday 29th April 7pm to midnight LIVE on Channel 865 (and streamed from this site)


7pm - Tonight on Sky Poker

  *   Follow live Mastercash hands and get all the build-up to the Sunday big games

 

8pm - Analyse My Play

  *   Jen Mason and our special guest (see below) take a look at one of my cash sessions from this week and pick out lessons we can all learn from.

 

9pm - Sky Poker School

  *   Interesting show- for the first time on Sky Poker TV we’ll be tackling the brand new phenomena that is Timed Tournaments

 

10pm – midnight

  *   TWO solid hours to round off the night of the biggest game this weekend with the very most at stake and just as it reaches the business end, as our players battle it out for the trip of a lifetime to Sin City in the Viva Las Vegas Final!

 

Your host for the evening will be myself, Richard Orford


Joining me on the sofa will be the classy young lady with the encyclopedic poker knowledge and an A-game to match- it’s Jen Mason

 


And our special guest all night from 8 is rising young UK star and intelligent student of the game's theory- Kevin Williams.


So- questions in for our two masterminds that night please. Plus- your hand requests from the VLV final and any thoughts on timed tournaments for Sky Poker School.

Also, let’s have your parting thoughts on the epic SPT Cardiff leg this Saturday and all your usual stuff.

    Richard, why are you trying to look all 'gangster' in that photo? Is that your Al Pacino face?

    I'm pleased your play is being analysed yet again. Tikay was far too lenient with you and Redmond wasn't nearly mean-spirited enough for my liking... I've really got my fingers crossed for Jen though. She won't let us down. :)

    You know I'm only joking. I'm the first person to say that you're not as bad as your reputation suggests. Nobody is as bad as your reputation suggests.

    That comes across as a bit mean, even for me. Only joking. It'll be good to see some examples of you owning the timed tournament tables.

    i do need a new sky remote ,when our new hd box arrived the remote has not worked, have to use the old sky plus.please send your remote as soon as possible, thank you paige

    regards to time tournaments i have mixed views on. I treat them very similar to dyms but i teand to only play them if they come at a time when im wanting a quick game before heading out, or doing something else. Im not sure how this happened but i think i must be the only person ever to have got through one of these without playing a hand.

    Question for Jen

    Looking back on her final table performance last night, is there anything she would do differently in future?
    should she haved beeen more passive/aggressive or was she weighed down sitting next to Hoggers?

    So, it's a big congrats to my partner-in-crime Jen Mason for coming 2nd in yesterdays's SPT Cardiff.

    The less said  about my performance, the better! Hey, I flopped a flush and the guy turned a  full house! What can I say?!

    Perfect chance though for you to fire in your questions to Jen on how she went about almost winning the thing- advice, strategy, pointers etc etc.

    Live poker strategy questions for Jen please!

    And lots of online questions for Kevin Williams- Google the guy, he knows what he's talking about.

    I was there. For 60 minutes. Most enjoyable minutes they were too...

    Jen has arrived at the office straight from Cardiff having had only a few hours kip from last night's exploits.

    I, on the other hand, arrived back for Cardiff at 7pm yesterday evening, and feel fully refreshed....

    What I'm trying to say is, that I had one eye on the show today when I crashed out after 60 mins...

    Who's idea was the joke?
    On a slightly serious note, i saw it on youtube and the number of people who believe it all and give 'valid' reasons for the bets, all-ins etc is amazing. However, it does, unfortunately, attract abuse from men who want to abuse women players in poker and see this as the perfect example of rediculous play.
    Have you seen the comments. Your opinions? Do you feel it, in some way is not helping the ladies cause from the male chauvinist pig's point of view or do you not care about them as they exist regardless? Have you seen much MCP behaviour at the tables and , if so, how have you countered it?

    By the way, i'd welcome any player to mytable as long as their body odour was within reasonable limts!!! Maybe referees should start to judge this along with Carlo's dress code rule. Your thoughts?
