Just wondering with the Average pot size on cash tables do you prefer to go on tables where the average pot is big, average, or small size, and what info do you take from it? i take it that if its quite big then its more likely that players are very aggresive and more action happens so you have to be prepared for that. If its small i presume players are tighter and not much action. What other things do you look for when looking at this? and which tables are better to enter?

However, the average can be massively distorted if 2 seconds before you look there has been a massive hand with 3-4 people all in so I wouldn't pay THAT much attention to it.
Im getting back into cash tables again and wanna start doing well at it, ive always favourd the cash tables live and generaly do well. I used to play high stakes a long while back but due to small br playing low limit cash at the moment, so its getting right info and mindset for playing it online again.
How far back is the average pot calculated over?
I tried a week on cash and went for the smaller, but not the smallest, size pots but as i got more used to it would find larger average pot sizes. I think stack sizes are more relevant. Any one with a stack size of say 2 or more buy ins I avoided. Average stacks and shortstacks were what I looked for.
imo average pot size means nothing - the players on the table are more important and will have more of a bearing if you win money.
