Unbelievable Software Error

Pretty disappointed to have still not heard back from Sky after sending an email about this a few days ago.

In spite of the fact that I won the hand, I feel I deserve some compensation for having to play in a hand in which I had NO VISIBLE CARDS and NO OPTION TO BET!!!

I have never experienced this on any site I don't think. I clearly "had" cards, as the timer was going down and I was being prompted, but the betting buttons were not visible - and neither were my cards! Incredibly frustrating.

Unbelievably, the only other player in the hand, who was the small blind who had called my big blind, checked every street. When the river, an ace was revealed, and we both once again checked (my hand once again being forced), as if by magic, my cards - an a/k - suddenly appeared, and I had won the hand!

Obviously, I would've been far more annoyed if I'd lost the hand, but clearly, with an a/k, I would've been betting, on the river at the very least!

This was in a satellite to the Cardiff SPT, which I ended up failing to win through, and ended up paying the full buy-in in the tournament being held in my home town.

Had an enjoyable day, beginning on the featured table. Out very early, but possibly instrumental in Richard Orford's early demise. Made the entry back on a cash table, which was something. Met some nice folk, including Richhazza8 & Rob12345.

Still not happy to have not heard back re. above.

Had this in a DYM yesterday morning, reported it to customer care on live chat and got my buy-in back. Took a while for them to stop blaming it on my PC, but got my money back.

    Manual Adjustment
poker refund for no cards snowing. TC
    £5.50

Might be worth having a word with them through live chat, especially if it happens again.

Don't think the software is that great... First day of using it was day before yesterday and on that first day was in a hand. I raised preflop, then after that I couldn't click on any of the buttons. Didn't work for any hand after either. Had to close the table to reset it. Hopefully isn't that common, but did worry a bit when that happens first day of using it.

I think thats a known software glitch, and happens to all of us, solution is to go into mini view and click back to full view. All buttons should then be responsive.

The download has only been around for 18 months, as the site grows expect the software to improve.

The Sky Poker Community is not a replacement for Customer Care. Nor is it a place to air specific grievances with the service or product. If you have any issues regarding your account, (i.e., Cash for Points, bonus offer or tournament token queries) direct these to Customer Care, not on the forum or PMs to Moderators.
