£5.50 DYM - Check back top set on flop?

My only notes on the villain relate to my opponent's limp/calling tendencies, so the fact I've seen him limp/call before would suggest passiveness, and therefore I reckon he's unlikely to do anything too crazy when faced with a c-bet despite a relatively dry flop. As he probably doesn't have a queen, am I better off checking back top set here?

Multi-way defo cbet but HU probz can afford one check as pretty dry flop apart from FD.

yea why would he call a raise with 7 or a 3 apart from set mining and only 1 Q out there left so he prob hasnt got that and if hes on a flush draw you could find out on the turn as you have Q clubs so its a bit less of a worry. If you want to C-bet there i would prob bet around 75-100 just to build the pot and draw him in for value as 150 says you have part of the flop or your strong. Tricky thing when you hit big like this hu and a dry flop comes but the flush is there that is the only thing that can beat you unless you hit the fh. If he has AK or even AJ you would get a c-bet call with over cards or if hes on a flush draw if he had KK you would of found out already prob. Theres no st8 draws there so if he has 10J K10 on the hope for a runner runner he would still maybe call a small c-bet just to see the turn card Q10 or QJ obv def calling. Hard to get paid here to be honest against a tight player and a risky game to play your basicaly going have to take a risk check and give him the oppotunity to give him outs before betting the turn. If a club comes you could be done for if a st8 draw comes your more at risk but would be the best card to get paid with. ahhh check it take a gamble look week and maybe he might bet into you on the turn then you can get paid.

For me its what he holding? Unless its 77, 33, AQ, KQ, and maybe PP from 88-JJ to see if you're serious, and some sort of flush draw he isn't calling. So I'd definately be tempted to check top set on that board and give him chance to catch up a bit. Even if he doesn't pair on turn he may well make a play for it on turn with you checking the flop. Just one of those do you try to build a big pot or wait one more street.

To be honest not 100% there is a "best" way. Think either could work, but obviously if he has no hand he going to fold the flop, if he does you going to get a big pot. Check and maybe you get him catch up but make a smaller pot.

Can check back, don't think that's a mistake.

    Your bet is fine.

    I'd bet abit smaller though.

Playing top set on Q73 is easy, you can't really do anything wrong!

Game doesn't start for 3 more levels anyway. You're just sparring ;)

I agree with the above posts although its harder to think within a few seconds, but was just wondering how you lot would play this in a cash game?
