A pretty stellar line-up...if you take me out of the equation! Jen Mason will be providing her usual high standard of enthusiastic expert analysis. And, we welcome TWO guests to the Sky Poker studios:
Jerome Bradpiece

Sarah Berry

Jerome's live results include a GUKPT title and six WSOP cashes. Sarah's a regular at the London poker clubs and recently went deep at UKIPT Nottingham - the biggest tournament ever held in the UK.

Got a question? Need a hand analysed? You know what to do. E-mail skyopen@bskyb.com, tweet using #SkyPokerTV, or post in this thread.

We're going to kick off our evening of pokertainment covering a £400 Gtd Timed Tournament, running between 7.15 and 7.45pm. Why not register?

We've got the Poker Clinic at 8pm and Sky Poker School at 9pm, with a lesson on barrelling in MTTs and cash games. Opinions welcome.

At 10pm we join forces with Sky Sports 4 for Top of the Pots and Sky Poker Highlights, with hands from the £12k Bounty Hunter. Please send in those all-important Hand IDs.

There's also a competition (running until 9.30pm)...

I want to know: who is your poker hero and why? And everyone who correctly guesses MY poker hero will go into the draw to win free entry to next Tuesday's £5k Open. Expect clues from 7pm :-)

Jen, Congratulations again on your SPT Cardiff 2nd place.  I'm glad you put my chips to good use, although you had plenty at the time you knocked me out anyway.

Jerome, What's been your most satisfying poker win, the GUKPT win, congratulations btw, or has something else eclipsed that?

Sarah, Thinking back to your Maria Poker women's tournament win...  First, congratulations on the win.  Second, did any men enter it?  Third, what do you think of men entering women's tournaments?

    James, Congratulations on being tall.

James, surely your poker hero has to be Tikay... (I reserve my real guess for later)

My poker hero would have to be Daniel Negreanu, obviously a brilliant reader of the game and I like that he still likes to have some fun and banter at the table and isn't a complete robot.

my poker hero is victoria coren.

her tournament triumphs, her book offers a great insight into the poker world, her humour is so similar to her late father, alan coren, (punch editor who once described bunkers in golf as, "mobile patches of sand that move to meet your ball.")

it would be good to see her on ch865 one evening too.

Hi, looking forward to the show tonight :)

I was watching a YouTube video of a hand between Negreanu and Esfandiari where there was a Steel Wheel on the board and James was commentating on it. I read through the comments, and there were pages and pages of "They're wrong, the nuts is actually 67 of spades" and "The king of spades is the nuts, what are these idiot commentators talking about?", as well as one person saying "Whoever has another Ace of Spades in their hands wins the hand".

The moral of the story is: Reading YouTube comments is usually a complete waste of time.

    ------

Barreling: Don't do it against a massive calling station. Trying to get a calling station to fold is expensive.

My Poker Hero: Don't really have one tbh.

My poker heros are Tom Dwan and Phil Ivey however the player i love to watch the most on tv is Phil Hellmuth as its epic when he blows up!  Remember watching the big game were Phil Hellmuth was playing against the amateur and the flop was 9 10 9 hellmuth had a9 and the amateur had kk and they got it all in.  They decided to run it 4 times and somehow the amateur managed to win 3 out of 4 and Tony G rubbed in in and all the players at the table were loving it!  As for James's poker hero a i will go for Barry Greenstein.

Poker heros for me would have to be Negranaeu simply because of the way he is at the tables. He reads about as well as anyone if not better, and is always in with the table banter.

Question: I was speaking to a friend who said a well known Irish pro was discussing table chat and what it does for him. He basically said by playing very tight but talking about every single hand or being in every single conversations players at the table perseve him to be more active than he actually is. Im just curious as to what people think of this theory.

    Evening all,

I saw something on a site Jerome referring to you giving an interview without your lucky hat!! What's the story? Are you as well as the others on the coach including you John superstitious or have certain idiosyncrasies before or whilst playing.

PS What's the most ridiculous quirky 'superstition' any of you have seen at the table?

Hi James and guests. Looking forward to tonights show so much. I love Jen Mason as she is so enthusiatic and reads situations really well(not to mention the fact that she is gorgeous). I am back playing on Sky Poker so will be playing tonights Main and Mini looking to scoop that massive Jackpot and the SPT Final seats. On the question of my Poker Hero I'd have to say I'm split. I am a massive fan of Victoria Coren who I believe is the best British Player but I love the style and panache of Daniel Negreanu who is a great player and can seemingly read your soul at the table. Have a great show and I'll no doubt be emailing in all night with my usual mix of blatantly obvious comments and gushy posts about the delectable Jen Mason. Best wishes. Shaun the Villa fan in Bham

looking forward to tonights guests. poker hero has to be chris moneymaker as i dont think the online game would be what it is today if he hadnt  won the wsop. jerome did you used to play for badbeat? are you still playing for them at all? do you think a player can make a living on the live mtt scene alone, with all the travel/hotel expenses etc without being staked

Have a great show everyone.  My only advice to anyone thinking of three barreling in any form of poker is to make sure you opponant can put a hand down.  There is no point doing it if they are going to call you with 3rd or 4th pair that they just can't release.

Am looking forward to watching and playing in the timed tourney tonight.  Should be good fun :)

    Run well all

Had a little panic then, thought the show started at 5pm! I still have half an hour though :)

My poker hero, ermm I don't really have one but I'm going to have to say Tikay seeing as I've learnt so much from him on the shows and adapting his approach to the game really helped in my transition to Sky Poker :)

    Looking forward to the show!

Your poker hero is Vanessa Selbst.

I don't do heroes in any walk of life, they're all just people, right?

I wouldn't call any poker player a hero as it's a much overused word but my favourite to watch is Daniel Negraneau for his gentlemanly personna at the table and his ability to read opponents. As for James' hero I go for Doyle Brunson.
