    hi May
    welcome to sky poker,
    my advice play low stakes,
30p dym,s are a good place to start,
as that is the most u can lose for that game.
cash can be so up & down,
    especially as you are beginner.
good luck and hope you enjoy your poker
    :-)

     Hi May,

Best tip I can offer is don't listen to Don,
Second best tip is remember its a game and is meant to be fun, make sure you enjoy the game.

Hi May - Hope you enjoy your time on Sky Poker.

    Tip 1.
Use as many of your sky poker points as you can to play in the freerolls, this will give you a chance to learn the game at the very basic level and also an opportunity to win some free cash if you manage to have a little luck along the way.

    Tip 2.
Stay clear of cash games until you have learnt the basics

    Tip 3.
Try 30 - 60p DYM's (Double Your Money) Games and work on playing premium holding cards only, such as JJ, QQ, KK. AA, AK and fold everything else. DYM games usually last around 45-50mins, so you only need to survive until 3 players are knocked out.
Be aware of the community cards for instance.....If you are holding JJ and the flop comes down King or Ace High, then fold and move on to the next hand.

    Tip 4.
Always be prepared to fold a good hand if its for all your chips...There is always a better spot so move on.

    Tip 5.
Learn the Basics from The_Don, Learn a little from playing and learn the rest from books or watch the Sky Poker School on Channel 865 (You can watch this online if you don't have a Sky TV Subscription)

    Tip 6.
Treat poker as a hobby and not a way to make money and you will enjoy it more.

Best of Luck at the tables.
