I was just putting a hand in the poker clinic and after adding my comments and trying to press the discussion button, i was asked to edit a word before it would be allowed. i'm not in the habit of swearing in print and i find it rather inane so i was surpised to find that they word was , in fact, a players name on the hand i'd pasted into the thread.

I've used the said word at times but i do feel that some players names are a bit near the knuckle. if Sky doesn't like it on the forum why doesn't it tell a person coming on site in the first place that they must change it into something more acceptable.

Don't get me wrong, i don't want posts peppered with swear words and the like(YOUTUBE is the prime example of this and is not worth reading comments at all, for that reason IMO) but i think Sky should tell you that your name is not acceptable and should be changed if it is likely  to offend or be misinterpreted.

What do you think, folks?

When I first registered for sky as woggie8688 there was no suggestion that this alias might be unacceptable, it was only when i posted on "ask Tikay" about iffey aliases that it was deemed to be inappropriate for reading out on ch 865. hence the change.

I can only assume that peoples choice of alias on registration are not screened in any other way than for duplication. I personally would have prefered to recieve notification by Sky that my chosen alias was possibly unsuitable, this would have been far easier personally, if it had been done at registration and therefore avoided any future possible embarrasment.
