HOW TO SPEAK TO PEOPLE PROPERLY AND RESPECTFULLY AT THE TABLES

edited May 2012 in Poker Chat
I have noticed of late there has been a lot of discussion on the forum about improper use of the chat facility on the tables.

Now then, most of us have (at one time or another) used words or language that we would not have used if we were playing heads up against the Queen of England.

Abuse of chat privileges cannot be allowed to continue!

It is to this end that I have decided to ask you all to think of some of the things you have said in the chat box, and to rewrite them in a fashion more suitable to a friendly and respectful community.

                                               Yours respectfully

                                                                  Oynutter

That was an amazingly brave and admirably speculative call with 8-3 os, I had no idea that pre flop hand selection guidelines were so widely interpreted in these circles. I must revise my tactical position forthwith, and hopefully you will make allowances for my new found inadequacies.

twoz very ungentlemanly like to have called with that 10 3 off suit kind sir, maybe for future reference you may reconsider your ever so slighty misinformed way of playing and perhaps have a cup of tea with me to discuss such a discrpency in the future, it was rather unpleasant the way you hit that 2 pair and just wasnt cricket my man. But never mind talyho and all that you young rascle i shall spar with you another time. Ta Ta

You are obviously a very talented and gifted player...  despite your chip stack.....  and your stats....  and your mm "Creative" play in this game.

I am sure all the players at this table really appreciate the unusual advice that you are given to them all.. at no charge

    Thank you so very much

You sir are a genius, hitting those 3 Jacks after 9bet going all in with J2o was such a creative play. I really think that you played that hand extremely well and deserved to win it.

Wow, runner, runner 2-2 has never beaten my aces before, If I had your brilliant foresight, I too would consider thinking to be a waste of time.

Of course I'd love to play you heads up. You are clearly a professional, and didn't understand my call of your 3 BB with rubbish. In future I shall fold in such circumstances. I feel dirty and ashamed.

Why didn't I see that? It was so obvious you had 72 off suit, I really only have myself to blame for calling in that spot.

For a split second I thought you were holding KK or AK after your 4 x BB raise pre-flop, but now I can see this was just a tactical bet to throw me off guard and it has worked extremely well.

Very well played to you sir wd.

Wow - That was a great play sir, I never think of calling a 3 bet after flopping bottom pair, I really should open up my game a little, perhaps it would make me a better player.

hmmmm you bet 40 into 3834 chips, I can see you have put a lot of thought into that bet. but perhaps you might have bet 80 if you had a 2 minute time bank to think about it, such a shame we have to act so quickly is'nt it?

    you had Q5?
that then is mighty fine play sir
you called my 3bet pre flop, and then 4bet me after a totally missed flop with that hand
and it was a TV table and they showed it on the show
you certainly taught me something with that hand
thank you very much, mr TommyD sir!

(a real hand on Mastercash NL200 a few weeks ago, and I really did learn something from it)

Thanks for that advice, you certainly are very talented, I have heard people talking from that particular orifice, but typing from it is truly amazing!
