If you have a big hand, someone else does.

Honestly, that's it.

It's what we as poker players dream of, chance of a full double-up (or down), the perfect situation, "big on big", K-K v Q-Q, A-A v K-K, these are the dream spots.

    Gotta love poker!

Sounds Like your getting it all-in too early?

The biggest hand Pre-Flop is AA, but it only has "Pair" Value once the community cards are down.

    My Advice is.....................

Be Prepaired to fold a Pair even if it is AA, especially if its for your tourny life.

What Tikay said is correct. Having AA is horrible when your c-bet makes all fold. AA vs KK please.

    This is very odd.....

Last night I was desperate for a double up in the Blackpool SPT semi and I raised with KK and everyone folded, couple of hands later I picked up AA in the big blind and got a walk.

Why are all these people folding their big hands to me?

I get big hands vs big hands all the time. Mine seem to win more often than I lose, maybe I'm lucky?

it could be due to the fact that you will only get action if the other player has a hand....

When someone shoves on you and you have KK/QQ/JJ/10's - fold

they'll end up having A 2 and WILL bink an ace on the river everytime

Folded my fh Qs over 9s 20 mins into the 14.00 bh today, following an allin, just felt the villian had the bigger fh, Qs over Ks. I know this was probably a bad fold, but as a recreational player i want value for my buyin. That means hopefully one hour of poker for my buyin. Two and a half hours later, got full value and ended up winning. Obviously, there were one or two teeny weeny bluffs along the way, some very nice starting hands and loads of luck. So, as Trevor  wisely states " Be prepared to fold if its for your tourny life"
On a seperate issue. On the final table small stack shoved utg with 7000 chips, cut off called, i was the bb 600 in the pot with 21000 behind, called reluctantly with A8. Flop was 8 5 2 or something similiar. Hitting top pair and putting cut off on a weakish Ace, low to middle pair or maybe KQ, KJ etc, i shoved thinking  this was the correct play. Cut off calls with KK, ( oops )small stack had A7. Sky were kind and let me hit my ace on the river. Abuse was forthcoming from the cut off, as he was now down to 12000 chips or so, saying i was a donk etc. I asked him "why didn't you isolate "  He replied " i wanted you in the pot". I told him, his plan worked, so stop moaning.
My point is, Sky just deal the cards, its up to us what we want to do with them.
Wish i could change my alias to TTT ( tighter then Tikay)

    It's that simple!

If only more thought that way, instead of every time they lose, they feel the need to blame someone else, or the software.

All very peculiar, really. "Blame Culture" really took hold, it seems.

It takes all sorts I guess.

Have a good weekend, Taras. I suspect you will anyway, you seem a glass half-full type.

I used to moan about it but after catching maybe 12 beats in a row i then won the vast majority of the last 50 all in's. If the best hand pre-flop won it'd just be a rubbish game really wouldn't it.
