Hi all,
I was wondering has any one else ever noticed this?
I don't multi-table , usually only a couple of tables at a time (3 for the DTD) and not in mini-view.
I always seem to pay more attention (and do better) on the table on the left of the screen.
Is this because we read left to right and our eyes are naturally drawn to that side or do i need to go to the opticians !!!

One things for sure......If a put a table in the top right hand corner, I usually don't do so well, infact I do pretty miserably in all honesty.
I call it the "L Factor" Tables on the top left, bottom left and to the bottom right in an "L Shape" seem to do ok (Although this is just an observation and has not been scientifically proven)
This may be more closely related to men only using part of their brain at a single time or is that just me?) anyway......women on the other hand may not have such problems as they are able to process multiple pieces of information simultaneously, more commonly known as multitasking.
When I play the Monday DTD the 7.15 deepy which is the 1st to open, I usually put this table in the top right hand corner, after a few weeks I noticed I always did well in the other tournies 7.45 deepy (Top Left) and the 8.30pm Take on Tikay Bottom Right.
What is more wiered is.........When I bust out of the 7.15 deepy (Top Right) I then move one of the other tournies into its place, only to find that I suddenly go busto in that one too and so on.
ps. I normally do much better with ALL tables in mini view and in an "L Shape" formation.
I have many more rituals when playing online poker........such as not having a gap between the edge of the table and the side of the screen lol, but this is just the tip of the iceburg.
So therefore I have recently changed to "L Shape" Formation and found that I did much better, but I still have a habbit of puting a table in the top right hand corner.
Obviously now I know its not just me I will make a permanent adjustment to the "L Shape" Formation and obliterate everyone in my path (This may also not be a scientific fact)
interesting thoughts.
i am left handed myself so naturally favour my left hand, foot etc.
i also load up my tables starting in the left hand top corner then adding each one accordingly...
like a jigsaw puzzle, piece by piece until my screen is full.
funny really ,coz i did enjoy jigsaw puzzles as a kid, think 3000 pieces from memory being the largest.
they do say men never grow up ....don,t they.

I think i'm slightly ambidextrous as i throw a ball with my left hand and bowl a cricket ball with my right!
Also play pool and darts left handed, but write right-handed.
No wonder my brains confused!!!
Now go get your roll back up where it belongs !

*this may not be my actual professional opinion.
I suspect we then have 2 things to consider.
1. Do we play better in tournaments that all start at the same time (or if the case of DTD - will we always do better in the first tournament? - The progression of the blinds means I often find myself playing much more loosely (yes, even more loosely) in the tournaments that are 2nd or 3rd in progression during the night).
2. Do people who naturally read right to left have the opposite experience?
Try putting the first tournament top right and tile leftwards and see what happens. Ask our Arabic / Chinese friends what they notice.
Interesting stuff.
isn,t there? (only joking)
