10pm & 11.10pm Velocity rebuys. What's happening?

These tournaments were hitting the gntee every single time.

You changed the structure, and made them MUCH slower.

Now, 2 weeks after tampering with the structure, you have lowered the guarentee on both.

There's now no difference between a 'speed' and a 'velocity'.

What's going on? It seems from the outside like you've lost the plot.

If you aren't going to put the structure back to how it was, maybe you can introduce ANOTHER version of a turbo? One that had the old velocity structure?

    haha, not angry. Annoyed/Confused.

There's no turbo tournys left on sky with a gntee above £100.

    Dunno why?

also it goes on the 55 min break one hand before the addon period - so peeps run around worrying why the add-on isn't working - and then are confused with the double break. The general assumption is that the software is broke. You need to find a way to stop this happening at the very least

Yawning my way through a £2 speed rebuy.

Starting stack after an hour is still 10xbb.

I disagree with people that say "they're greedy, they only want rake"

    Thats nonsense.

But they just do really silly stuff, they should pay one of the analysts an hours over-time to sort the MTT schedule/structures out.

    Can someone look at this?

    Hi Dohhhhh

I like playing speed or turbo tournaments especially the non rebuy variety at small stakes. I use to really enjoy the 10.35pm £1 speed tournament. This usually made its £100 guarantee, but has now been changed to a rebuy which completely changes its playing characteristics and also halved the field size to around 50 runners. Why? It seems that Sky no longer want to promote speed tournaments. A thing I especially don't understand is why they don't have a good choice of this type of tournament at different buy-ins from around 11pm each night. Most players don't want to play a 4 hour deep stacks at this time of night but would enjoy a faster running tournament lasting around 90 mins. An area that timed tournaments don't cater for. Not everyone wants to play bounty hunters and deep stacks.

When Sky started (a lot of schoolnights of watching the Five-0 and Five-0-0 with barstools and 3d hand projector thing ftw), didn't they used to have a velocity thing at 10 minutes past every hour, every night, with 3 or 4 minute blinds? Think they were £5.50 or £11 buy-in IIRC. Although they're not my cup of tea, one or two of these FREEZEOUTS would be a welcome re-addition to the tournament schedule IMO.

The closest thing to the "Velocity" tournaments now is the Thews @ 10, which is 4 minute blinds I think? Even that's a rebuy.

This and the lack of £11+ tournaments during the day are 2 things in the daily tournament schedule which need to be seriously looked at IMO.

+1  I have frequently played the 10.35pm tournament and it has usually made the guarantee comfortably, but now it has become a rebuy it fails miserably. Tonight, for example, there were 58 runners who made only 12 add ons and about the same number of rebuys resulting in a loss for the site in cash and player terms. This should be of concern to Sky but of greater concern should be, what has happened to the 50 or 60 players that used to play in this tournament? Are they still on site? Or have they gone to pastures new? Please Sky, have a re-think about this and give us back our favourite tourneys.

It was rubbish anyway imo....the REAL! velocity had £5 freezeout 1k gtd
and 700 runners every night....i played it at least 5 nights aweek along with 700 others.....then they binned it?

I agree. But me, thee, and tonnes of others have been asking for that back for months without even a reply.....

At least they've been playable @ £500/300 gtd and a proper velocity structure.

Now they aren't even velocities anymore.....

I too bemoan the turning of the 10:35 into a rebuy and it seems nearly every tournament I would like have become  rebuys so I don't play them. Bad move. In your improvemants why don't the settings  get saved , as you said they would .
On other sites , at tourney start, the table pops to the front with a sound to warn you. Sky does not - no pop-up - no sound because the setting won't save. I miss tournament starts regularly . And fewer tournaments I want to play because they're all rebuys. Is Sky changing for the worse ?
    Moan over.

Oh, while I'm at it  ! to have a break 10 mins after a tourney start is silly and disrupts the rythm. If you must have synchronised breaks better after an hour 10 than 10 mins. Min play before break should be at least 30 mins.
