How do you play against muppets?

I was playing the Main tonight and had two players who were calling 1/4 of their stack off with 4th pair and no draw. Then had a player all-in and the guy is now betting into a dry side pot with no pair. I can't see how anyone could defend this kind of play and if you have a strategy for playing against them I'd love to know.

    read dohhhhhs NL4 guide, try NL4 for a month, Beat NL4 and these opponents should become easy.

    Carefully.

    If someone is playing like a "muppet" it pretty much means they dont have enough vested in the game.  So there is no value attempting to outplay them in marginal spots as they dont care enough about the money part of the game to play well or with any meaningful level of thought.

    So just punish them for value when you feel you do have it, you dont even need to be super strong.  Manage pot size where applicable, play your edges and VB thinner.

    But you cant make someone put down a marginal hand (that we believe is stronger than our own) if they dont care about the outcome.  So dont even try.  But definately be glass is half full about it.

     I got down to 11 bigs in the Open so I pushed with J10 and got what I would call a freeroll call by Q8 off. But all I did was scratch my head and made a note of the players name!
     Ps Dohhhhhhh I certainly dont want to play like him! 
     I dont get to play many main events but if that is the standard then I certanly want to play more!

    did you win against them? im guessing they sucked out with 2 pair on the river or something! There isnt really anything you can do apart from bet when you think your ahead and if you are and they suck out well....... not a lot you can do about it, thats poker im affraid. If its a player who is fishing with bottom pair to hit 2 pair you want them to call so as long as your betting and stringing them along they will get punnished 9 times out of 10 the other 1 time outta 10 they do hit well again nothing you can do about it but these players dont make money where as you will more often than not.

    make notes, don't c-bet against them light - if you hit take them to value town.

    don't tilt - easy to say I know - I think I lost a lot tonight to your 4th pair guy who called my bets on every street - very tedious

    you put a hand up there bottoms and make hand movements to animate there bodies while putting on a silly voice.
