I cant play on here anymore.................

It is so frustrating and maddening but i can not keep paying for games when they keep freezing or running slow.

Its been happening now for months and its got to the point where if i had any hair i would be pulling it out.

I know the techhies will say its at my end but i have a pc and laptop dedicated to poker sites only and we also have 3 other laptops and its the same on them all.

My broadband is ok and i get no problems on other sites.

so i will have to take an enforced break(apart from playing spt sat with fingers crossed)

this is the type of thing that keeps happening

i dont normally fold the turn with top two pair im not good enough)..:)

    I sympathise with you!
    I've had 20 - 30 tables that have crashed and I've lost without being able to make a move
    It's OK if you've a big bankroll but if you haven't it's a nightmare!
    My friend who designs games for xbox checked my set up and confirmed the problem wasn't at my end
    but what can you do?
    I would say that the situation has improved recently and I'm hoping this weekend my system doesn't crash while the roller is being played!

    I know this sounds cruel, but thank god its not just me. Only started last week or so, and its getting worse . My lap top and connection are fine, but for some reason Sky have a major problem and need it sorting out sharpish otherwise loads of players will be lost Davey !

    I recently started playing SnG tables and have a similar problem.
    The table freezes frequently and leaves me with little or no time to see what the previous player bet and then bet myself.  This never or very rarely happened while playing cash tables.
    After a week of problems, I think I know what causes it.

    When the table opens, I leave the window with the SnG list of other upcoming games underneath.
    I believe that when a table gets the required 6 players and moves to "waiting to open" or "level 1", it affects the open table.
    Tonight, once I had started a SnG, I changed the window underneath to show the list of cash tables instead.
     
    Hey presto.
    No freezing.
    Only one game, I know, but there could be something in it.

    I'm experiencing the same thing over the last couple of weeks.  I can't play on my laptop anymore but my PC seems to be coping. Weird.

    Ive been aware of many people having issues on the tables of late. Hasnt bothered me too much though, but loads of red bars on the tables

    the site undoubtedly got slower, I stopped playing because I couldnt even get 6 tables running like I used to 2-3 months ago and I just lose my attention too much playing with less.

    And no, its not because my PC is clogged up, as I regularly format/defrag/runccleaner/ect.

    Fact is, the current client is a resource hogging whale, I really really hope that the new one is not based on adobeair.

    i have to say i had it really bad today i had 3 tables open and they just all were so laggy it was nearly impossible to play and is only on this site that it happens.

    Yeah it's been pretty bad the last two weeks or so. TBH Sky need to get a grip and sort it out quickly. Its a shame to because the site on a whole is great to play on but if they want to keep growing as a serious poker site they need to get this issue sorted out cause its a complete joke!

    I normally play up to 4 tables on the download and its normally ok, but just been playing 5-6 tables at the micro cash levels on the flash version for the first time in a while  and red bars evrywhere. Was putting in raises only to get disconnected from all tables and not been able to follow them up when i can see i,ve hit the flop - so frustrating.

    Are the above posters using the download or the flash version as i,ve always had problems with the flash version with more than 2 tables  hence why i use the download normally but just wondering if anyone had problems on the download as well tonight or is it just the flash version again

    As I have said to you when we've bumped into each other live Dave, this is a big part of why I dont play on SKy.

    It just boggles my mind that a site hoping to be an industry leader/competitor could have such out of date software.

    yes laggy of late-and last few days takes 3-4-5-times to load cm menu playing on the download...

    I only made the comment in the hope that someone at Sky might pick up on the fact that some comments on the forum can be misinterpreted and taken as malicious when in fact the reality couldn't be further than the truth.
    And that maybe Martin could be forgiven and allowed back into the fold

    Same problems for me, but mine are mainly problems with the download client lagging.

    I have followed every piece of tech advice and have a v fast laptop, fast broadband, new installs of everything, 25ms ping test, ethernet connection, 800mbps+ download speed.

    On pokerstars I can play 24 tables with browsers open and holdem manager 2 running and absolutely zero lag. I have also tried playing the max number on other sites with no problems at all. I have also tried this on a slower computer with the same broadband connection and again zero lag.

    On Skypoker it is unplayable on more than 2 tables with the download client on cash game tables for me. I don't want to play 24 tables obviously on sky, but 2 tables is soooo boring and slow (And still lags quite a bit!!!).

    I'm guessing sky will say it's a problem on the customer end for everyone - what a joke!!!!!

    I love playing with all Brits as the banter is great so I really want to find a solution.

    Everyone needs to keep posting in this thread to make it as big as possible so sky can't avoid the issue anymore - we need to unite!
