I was chatting to JJ the other day about a pub game I played in, and I thought it would be a good idea to stick up the comedy lines you hear from some people in there that are just bad beyond belief.
So I'll start by chucking in the one I was telling JJ about...
Player A makes a big 3bets pre against Player B, and Player B calls. 3 Streets of betting from Player A (and Player B flatting). Player A turns over a decent hand I think TPTK with AQ and Player B turns over 36s for trip 3s.
Player A says 'what the ****, I 3bet really big pre' and Player B says 'yeah but it was suited'
LOL

"How can you call my all in there I ask?"
Player A says......."I thought you were at it!!".................Really.
Board runs out JJ862
Player A - See I was right to call. He could have had AK and if he had I would have had the best hand.
I could tel you a few but ill bring em out 1 a a time
This one is very old, first time id played in a pub and the first time id played poker since i was 14. My uncle knew the venue and i arrived with him, i explained to the TD id never played before and he sorted me out hand ranking and asked a guy at the table to keep me right, without looking at my cards.
About 20 mins in i ask, "so how do you know what a good hand is?" I think a fair newby question.
One guy at the table turns around, "every hand is rubbish before the flop"
UTG raises to 100 - blinds where 25/50
folded to BTN who 3bets to 550
UTG calls.
Flop K42r
UTG donks all in
BTN snaps
UTG K4o
BTN AKs
board bricks
UTG "phew! Glad i held"
this sparks of BTN, "What you held, you called 11BB with K4o."
UTG replied, "Yes but you have to hit the flop to win in poker."
BTN, "No you dont, you just need the best hand more often than not, i had best hand when yopu called pre."
UTG says, "But i won because i hit the flop, i had the best hand"
BTN "£50 down each on the other table now, ill have AK you can have K4. We'll run it 100 times, everytime i win i get £1 everytime you win you get £1."
UTG, "No i like my money thanks."
BTN sighs
He limps with AQs, I raise with 55, he 3bets and I just let it go.
Then he says to me (after we've shown our cards to each other), 'If you'd have shoved, I'd have folded cos I put yuo on a small pair, and I didn't want a flip'
This was when he had about a 4to1 chip lead lol.
200/400 guy in BB has 450 chips one guy raised to 800 BTN calls SB folds BB folds.
"your never pot commited i could get aces next hand" was his lines when the table looked stunned.
