Hey peeps where do i start as im not one for questions

Not bein a regular consistent player on the site just play now and again and played more this month than i usually do managed to earn just under 4k in points which isnt to shabby for about a weeks play in all.

My question the team sky freeroll which appears every 3 months so i assume and 6 players get entry into team sky ,

With what i think sky may need to introduce as i think there would be others like me in the same situation there should be other prizes on offer if you was to make enough points over the 3 months of course then win your place offer something else

Reasons bein.....

I could never commit to goin to live events and all the other areas of whats involved would just seem to much hassle with work/not one for playing live

Maybe

1.Cash prize

2.50% increase on top of your priority % for the next 3 months

3.Entry into 8pm main every night for a month

Please add other ideas if you can think of more

And personally i think priority is only a bonus if you manage to consistently make it every month then you receive greater rewards and this isnt a rant at the bigger winners or the regs who make this feat every month i have alot of respect for them who grind for hours on end they deserve it

But no offence to sky at all but i think maybe for the players who play enough in there spare time who could actually get to that position over 3 months and doesnt find the thrill of bein in team sky could think of other aspects for those who put in the hours but cant make the commitment?

Have fun reading (:

    Hiya,

First of all, it's worth mentioning that there isn't a TSP qualifier at the end of June (or again until further notice, presumably), and I believe the plan is for Sky to bring back a new & improved version of Team Sky Poker in the future. At this stage, nobody at the moment knows what this will involve, or when it will "return", and whether it'll still be TSP or whether it'll be something else, who knows.

Whether there has been any developments in the last month or two, I don't know - Tikay is the only person who would possibly be able to shed any light on that. What I have written above is what I recall of the situation regarding TSP, when I asked about a month ago.

As for the current system - You are right that six people become members of TSP every three months. The top 30 STT, MTT, and Cash players (so 90 overall) go into a TSP qualifying tournament, it plays like a satellite and the top 6 get into TSP, your starting stack in that tournament is determined by position on the Sky Poker League.

The top 30 on the TSP leaderboard in each category is mostly going to be filled with pros, who can put in more volume and therefore, rack up more points, with a few winning recreational players (who still take the game seriously and are very good players) thrown in for good measure. Therefore, I imagine 99% of the people who get into the top 30 in the first place would love nothing more than to be on TSP.

There'll always be one or two exceptions, but I think it's a brilliant opportunity for any pro or aspiring recreational players out there. To replace a TSP spot with a cash prize, or tournament entries, and take away what would be the opportunity of a lifetime for some people because someone doesn't want to be in TSP just doesn't feel right.

You also referred to work commitments and not wanting to play live - As I alluded to earlier, someone with work commitments and family to look after would find it difficult to even get into the TSP qualifier in the first place, simply because they're at such a massive disadvantage relative to so many people who can play significantly more. With the exception of TommyD who is just an insanely good player, if someone is working full time manages to get into the Top 30 to begin with and then qualify for TSP, I'd be incredibly surprised. Not impossible, but it's about as likely as flopping quads and losing the hand IMO. There's some very good recreational players out there, but they're at such a massive disadvantage because of how the whole thing works.

I believe TSP currently works by doubling your C4P payouts and putting the extra that you get for being into TSP into a live bankroll for you. Someone may need to correct me here, but I'm sure that you'd be able to spend that live roll on whatever was most convenient for you, whether that's a GUKPT with a £1k buy-in, or a £50 rebuy down the local casino on a Friday night. Even if someone with a 9-5 managed to find the time to rack up enough points to get into the qualifying tournament, and then managed to qualify, hassle with work probably wouldn't be much of a problem, I imagine, as you could just play what you want, when you want.

Admittedly, if you don't like live Poker, there's nowt that Sky can do about that, really. There's always SPTs though, having been to one before, you can't not enjoy them.

Overall, I don't see much need for replacing the TSP places with anything else. No matter what the prize is, there's always going to be someone who isn't happy. Can't please everyone.

EvilPingu above pretty much covers it all, unfortunately there is no TSP freeroll for the foreseeable future

    Your ideas

1.Cash prize - There were cash prizes in the first few qualifiers and some players played for the money rather than the prize so it was changed

2.50% increase on top of your priority % for the next 3 months - As stated above TSP got 100% increase to use as a live bankroll

3.Entry into 8pm main every night for a month - The only free prize was a 1K GUKPT entry so this would work if they were allowed to use their extra C4P bankroll

I believe it is coming back bigger and better in the future so your ideas may be considered then

    In my dreams lol.

U can scope me & c how much I've donked/tilted off on the high stake DYM's in the past.

I've kind of learnt about BRM now & only play the £5ers on which I guess I might be a small winning player.

I 12 table & will hopefully move upto 18 tables so C4P's is my game.

If any1has sharkscope subscription and can show my all-time £5 & £10 (separately) DYM results I would be v.grateful.

Gotta be Compton or Carberry. Knowing the selectors, we'll probably end up with some mediocre keeper/batsman opening though *cough* Kieswetter *cough*.

I don't understand. You seem pretty competent whenever I play you in DYMs. Is it just because you're playing too many tables and people are adjusting to you (lol@people adjusting on skypoker I know)? Maybe its a couple minor things that are turning into big leaks. Have a skype session with me or something and we could fix them. Because I believe have a solid game.

Edit: I sharkscope filtered your results from this year by the 5.50 dyms and:

(if you can't see its.. -$681 and average roi of -3.1%
