How awesome is this: a four-day weekend AND a four-day £60,000 Guaranteed mini-festival on Sky Poker! Read all about it HERE.

The main event of the Jubilee Weekend is the £20k Super Roller (register HERE). Ryan Spittles and I will be hosting FOUR hours of live coverage on channel 865.

We kick off at 7pm, with the "warm-up act" - a £750 Gtd Timed Tournament (please register HERE). Then, between 8pm and midnight, it's all about the Super Roller.

We want Hand IDs, and we want to know the following...

What would you buy the Queen as a Diamond Jubilee present?

And, who are you rooting for at this year's WSOP? Is there a particular pro or Sky Poker player you'd like to see claim a bracelet?

Plus, there'll be an on-air competition, with a seat in next Thursday's £12k Sky Sports Bounty Hunter up for grabs. We'll be playing a game called 'Poker Lyrics'. Details will be announced at 7pm.

Who am i routing for at the WSOP?

TommyD just because hes technically got there for free, would be one for the headlines.

    A brand new handshaking glove.

Will confirm details of tonight's competition ASAP.

In the meantime, I'd like to gather opinions on the latest WSOP controversy.

If you don't know about the new 'Verbal Declaration' rule, and subsequent Twitter war of words, please read this summary...

This year, players who make a final table are required to verbally announce every single action and bet. This is, presumably, to help viewers of the live stream follow what's going on. (They could have just put a microphone on the dealer, but that would have been too simple!)

Anyway, Jon Aguiar, who made the final of Event #5, tweeted the following:"The WSOP final table rule requiring players to announce every single action and bet is possibly the worst rule in poker history."

The WSOP Tournament Director, Jack Effel, felt the need to post a sarcastic response: "Appreciate your support in helping grow the great game of poker!"

    Oh dear...

Several pros, including Mickey Petersen and Isaac Haxton, have come to Aguiar's defence, with Ike tweeting, "He's right, the rule is AWFUL."

However, Shawn Daniels, addressed the following to Mr Aguiar: "Why are you the only one who cries all day every day about everything? Adapt and stop sounding like a complete b**ch."

Shawn's comment was then RE-TWEETED by the official WSOP Twitter account. What?!? I hope this was a mis-click. To quote Ike Haxton once again,"Even if Jon Aguiar were completely wrong you'd be way out of line."

sadly, we all need to take a step back and think before we hit that "return/enter" button.

Everything that is written in cyperspace, especially on Twitter and social networks can be seen be almost everyone that wishes to find it.

TWIT does seem an appropriate term for these people

anyway, have a great show James, i may be donkimg off in the usual fashion later - runner-runner-runner-runner-runner-runner-runner royal straigh flush house quads

I would buy her majesty The USA to complete her North America Set!

Love to also see TommyD take down the WSOP to show the rest of the world our maths teachers can add up

call me old fashioned but i agree with the new rule. it makes sense say what you mean then do it. what's wrong with that.most of everything else they say is rubbish anyway. a little bit of order will do the game a world of good.
as for the queen a little bit of respect for her dedication to our way of life wouldn't hurt.long my she reign doing what she does best representing this country and the commonwealth.

it will surely provide a wealth of tells that will favour the best players.... which is not a bad thing.

personally i think it's silly and much like andy murray saying that his next play is a backhand cross-court top spin lob.

Nope, TOTP is on a Thursday.

As we're focussing on the £20k Super Roller tonight, it's unlikely we'll be able to review any Master Cash hands. Might be worth posting this hand on next Thursday's show thread, so they guys can take a look at it in the Poker Clinic

I can confirm that we WILL be playing the 'Poker Lyrics' game tonight :-)

In order to participate - and be in with a chance of winning a seat in next Thursday's £12k Sky Sports Bounty Hunter - you'll need to watch the WHOLE show!!!

hi guys looking forward to the show tonight, ive been convinced to have a go at the timed mtt tonight after your mention, i have only played one of these before so is going to be new to me, i tried for the 20k roller but no luck unfortunately but ive managed to make the 5k bounty tonight instead. Is there any tactic you can suggest for the timed mtt that might help?

I also think sky should give the queen a free entry into the 20k roller as i heard shes a good poker player and hits a lot of royal flushes. What do you think her avatar name would be called?
