Basically you earn poker points for any real money poker game you play on the site.

On the browser or on the download just go to the Cash Games tab and you can filter it by stakes just below the list of tables. If you've never played cash before I'd definitely recommend playing a table that says 2p/4p.

2p/4p is the size of the small blind and big blind, and so the maximum you can buy in for is 100 big blinds (£4).

One thing to point out, cash is good for earning poker points, but it's generally only good if you play alot of tables at the same time, like 6+ tables at once, and to be honest, the poker points you earn at 2p/4p games is pretty terrible.

    Hope this helps too.

    Earning Poker Points

    Poker Points

All new registrations will receive 500 Poker Points. Use these points to enter our regular freerolls.

Sky Poker values all of our poker players and therefore we have introduced a player reward scheme. The scheme works by rewarding every player with 'Poker Points' based on their real money gameplay. These points are rewarded every time a player plays in a Real Money Game as well as Sit 'n Go's and Multi Table Tournaments.

To get you off to a good start Sky Poker will automatically award 500 Poker Points to each new customer. Using your Poker Points will add to your fun as you will be able to use them to buy entry into selected tournaments rather than paying cash!

A raked hand is defined as any hand in which you are dealt hole cards and a minimum of 1 pence in rake is taken.

You will also earn Poker Points for buying in to any Multi and Single Table Tournament. You will earn 10 Poker Points for every £1 in entrance fees paid, for example, if you enter a £10 + £1 tournament, the £10 is your contribution to the prize fund and the additional £1 is the "fee" that you pay. This means in this example that you will earn 10 Bonus Poker Points. All loyalty points earned will be credited to your account at the end of each hand or tournament and can be viewed by going to 'My Account'.

*Also as of the 31st January, the following changes to buy-ins on cash tables will be in effect:

The minimum buy in on all regular cash tables will increase from 10 Big Blinds to 20 Big Blinds, the maximum buy-in remains at 100 big blinds and the default buy-in offered to the customers increases from 40 Big blinds to 60 Big Blinds

E.G. On a £0.25/£0.50 cash table, the minimum buy will increase from £5.00 to £10.00, the maximum will remain at £50 and the default offered increases from £20 to £30.

You can still manually type any amount you wish between the minimum and maximum.

No cash for points is basically the money you get for earning poker points (not to be confused with league points lol).

If you go to the home page of Sky Poker, and you're logged in, there will be a Cash For Points widget on the right hand side that says how many points you have, this will update after every hand played on a cash table, or after every MTT/SnG you play in.
