If you can keep your chips when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming you, If you can raise when others call But make allowance for their calling too;
If you can bluff - and not make bluffs your master If you can accept wins and losses, And treat your beats just the same; Or watch the pot you've built up broken:
If you can swim with fish and make a profit Or joust with pros - nor lose your wallet, Yours is the game and everything in it, And - which is more - you'll be a poker player my son!

It's incredible actually how much that poem of Kipling's relates to playing poker.
Oh, and thanks for noticing the Game of Thrones reference. You're the first one. Great series, isn't it? Just finished Season 2.
Along with The Wire, and the first series of the Scandanavian crime thriller The Killing, it's the best TV drama I've ever watched.
