Freerolls (50 Poker Points) tonight, AND tomorrow.
The TOP 16 in EACH of these Freerolls all get a Team in Euro 12 based on finishing position. Winner gets Spain (FIFA ranked # 1), runner-up gets Germany, (FIFA ranked # 2) etc.
You then get a £5 Free Bet with SkyBet for EVERY Goal your Team Score
Mr. Kendall, there is one flaw in this particular tournament. The new Fifa world rankings were published today and some of them have changed: 1. Spain 2. Uruguay 3. Germany 4. Netherlands 5. Brazil 6. England 7. Argentina 8. Croatia 9. Denmark 10. Portugal 11. Chile 12. Italy 13. Russia 14. France 15. Greece 16. Ivory Coast 17. Sweden 18. Republic of Ireland 19. Mexico 20. Colombia So the order in which the places are rewarded are now out of sync with the rankings. Never mind, eh? Posted by BorinLoner
Is that a typo? Find it hard to believe that we're the 6th best team in the world, lol

Really? Yikes, that's a bit inconvenient!
I will have a word with upstairs. I would THINK that they will stick with the Ranking "as published" on the Promo Page, as it clearly says this.....
"....Here are the rankings that will be used..."
And the Freerolls begun last night, so it would be (in my personal opiinion) wrong to change it now, when people have already "won" Teams.
Might just send a Meno to FIFA & tell them how inconvenient all this is.

I can confirm that the Teams will be awarded on the basis of the FIFA Rankings as shown on the Promotions Page, here
It would be wrong to move the goalposts (whoops...) now, after Teams have already beeen "won" by players, so it stays as per the Promo Page.
Thanks for raising the question. Nothing is ever straightforward, is it?
In Response to Re: Euro12 starts Friday - the Euro Freeroll starts TONIGHT : Is that a typo? Find it hard to believe that we're the 6th best team in the world, lol Posted by EvilPingu
I know why u say that and it may seem strange, but Eng are a bit of a paradox.
On the one hand, our tendancy to make 'passion', 'commitment' & 'being good in the air' as highly prized values rightly puts us light years behind most countries in terms of the most important footballing virtues of skill, technique and team co-ordination / fluidity.
On the other, we are one of the hardest teams to beat & no-one enjoys playing us. If you look @ our results in competitive games since Eriksson took over, we are easily one of the top 8 teams in the world.
Tikay does it have to be £5 on sky bet for each goal or can it go into my poker account? Posted by donkeyplop
No, afaik it has to be a £5 free bet with SkyBet for every goal your Team scores. There is no "alternative" prize.
If, by some chance, you don't feel able to take advantage of the prize of a free £5 bet for every Goal your team scores, my personal advice would be to swerve the Freeroll.

Hi G,
It is open for registration now, & over 300 have registered so far.
If it is opened too early, some folks forget to plqy it, & then we get complaints about "sit-outs".
Or maybe they were just late opening it, I don't know.
Good luck.

Check this out for a statistical prediction of Euro 2012: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/jun/06/euro-2012-england-germany
But yeah - on the whole, we still play rubbish football.

I'm sure I can find a few bets to make.
