Few questions about Blackpool Accomodation when you are at SPT

I'm not very good at explaining things but ill give it ago.

Me and a friend have just started renting a guest house which has 9 bedroom, it is currently being refurbished. I just want to know when you went  Blackpool lasy year and when you go in a few weeks.
Where will you be staying?
How much will it be a night?
What sort of service do you get? ie Breakfast? or just a roof over your head? and
How long do you normally stay? How ever long you last in ME because i'm assuming you play side events too.

It wont just be for poker plaers but it will give us some understanding on how much to charge and and a few things. Obviously we will be doing our research around the area any way. But we are 500yards from the center pier which is a great spot. Apparently it is a friendly neighbourhood. so if a hotel/guesthouse are fully booked they will send you to the next one Which i think it good and helps all the businesses out.

It is risky for us as i am currently in a job, a secure one at a Nuclear Power Station, but i can progress there and that is what i want to do. Make more money and not be in a dead end job. We will be living in this guesthouse also so it i a place to stay and a job if we pick things up quick.

Sorry if you find this booring and thank you for taking the time to read. Id like serious answers please :D

Well me and Emma are staying at Moray House Hotel on 28 Withnell Road Shore South, it's very close to the casino. We're only staying for the Saturday night as we could only get a babysitter for 1 night, and the double room for that one night was £38, although we booked via Hotels.com and found an online voucher for 10% off ;)

Ill be staying with family this year but going by previous poker trips.

Cardiff we stayed from Friday to Sunday in a hotel cost was £160 for a twin room. was very small and cramped tbh, wud have happily spent another £50 (myself obv if the other person was happy) to have more space. No food was inclluded in this price either.

Nottingham i acutally snuck into a room which was won so price wise i cant be sure of but was something like £399 for 5 nights. This was a far more spacious room but hotel wasnt at what id expect standard wise.

All my other travels ive stayed with a friend or stayed at home so i cant comment too much.

Sounds like you have a great idea though Shaun property market always something ive had a weird fasination with and sounds like you have a good way to get around the current cash issues in the country.

    I wish you luck.

One thing id maybe suggest is renting per room, this would mean not having to give out full 9 rooms in one go, but im no expert.

Nice replys so far.Thankyou! Yeah well shes only now coming back from blackpool after putting a deposit down so we still need to discuss things. We would be doing the work our selves so no labour costs as of yet, the guy who owns the place is doing all the work on the building. eg new paint new carpets and fittings. If we want a wall knocked down to make 1 or 2 rooms bigger he will do it, He doesnt mind aslongas he gets his rent at the end of the month Which really does sound to good to be true. But it is true :D

I think we are thinking around £25-40 per night inc breakfast but i guess i can keep this thread updated to share what we will be doing. Never done anything like this b, but it is handy the owner doing all the main work

Interesting thread Shaun. I'm staying at a Guest House on the recommendation of my daughter and her partner. I've got 2 nights for £40 and that includes breakfast. Accomodation at Blackpool seems very cheap for Guest Houses and B and B compared to other places. Competition is greater at Blackpool  than anywhere else so standards have to good even for the cheapest. Pokertrev is the man to ask he's never away from the place. Good luck with your venture.
