you can understand abtklo maybe if he had a good read, but even the fishiest of fish know they're just handing chips over with  jack high and someone goes all in

maybe he's insanely rich and really doesnt care?

Generally higher stakes players are better. No disputing this.

Although if you say NL50 players are better than NL25 then that's silly. But people who play ligit high stakes are generally better than lower stakes, theres simply no question. You just ran into an idiot.

I have always found a higher level at the £11 quid games here than at the 30p.

The definately is a correlation between buy in and standard. It just may be that at 30p no one really cares if 72 gets beat or not, they just want to have some fun and see some flops.

At 30p some people must have a play chip mentality, at £11.00 and above, things are taken a lot more seriously by most. But again, there are those with more money than sense there too.

It depends on your worth I suppose, if £11.00 means nothing to you, you will treat the game with the same respect.

Yes, you will get donks at every level, but ultimately, the standard will improve the higher you go. But for some reason this logic fails to apply to the open and BH games, where regardless of buy in you see some terrible plays, especially early on.

I always put this down to those that deposit once a week, play a couple of Opens and you don't see them again till next payday. Purely paying and playing for the priveledge of maybe getting a hand shown on the T.V.

Regardless of buy in, as I will basically play anything from 30p up to £11.00, depending on the time of day and the mood I am in, I always try and treat each game the same, although I cannot honestly deny the odd flush draw chase on 30p every now and again.

I certainly wouldn't be calling an 800 raise with j10 then calling an all in, risking 3/4 of my stack on an up and down.

tbf tho guys i can see the reasoning for the call.  the sunday million is a massive tournie and he probably had the mentality of that i can fold and have 25bb and i can gamble, have 100bb or i can bust out now in like 13000 place.

i made it to like 6000 odd in this tournie last night, and that is no different to where this guy came.  the end result was the same, even tho my exit was a bit more annoying of my QQ running into KK AIPF.
