Tues night Live Show with Fowler and Tikay ***official show thread**** 7pm kick off

Well, hello. I feel like I have been away for ages. Looking forward to cosying up on the sofa tonight alongside the shadow of his former self, slim, trim with a  jacket that's slightly too big...Mr Tikay.

Hope you all enjoyed your bank holidays recently, and you are also enjoying 'summer'!! Should we be building an ark!? If the rain carries on this way, we might need to!

Which leads me to ask, if you did have to board the metaphorical ark, what 2 things would you take with you!? Poker chips and a deck!??

Also, your run down of tonight's main event..

7pm-8pm  Live cash coming straight from our MasterCash tables, you coud be on them..listen out for table numbers at the start of the show!

8pm-9pm  Ask the Expert..an hour of Tikay's advice giving. IF you have any questions for him, let us have 'em! Also hand IDs...

9pm-10pm  Sky Poker School looks at playing the bubble in DYM's. How do you play it?  Sit tight and wait for glory, or make some moves to steal the glory?!

10pm-11pm  Chat Box...topics to be posted later, feel free to offer up your opinions on anything we discuss tonight.

11pm-midnight  MasterCash following live action from our MC tables.

Please as always offer up any hand IDs on here,  or by email, for analysis tonight... always from a tv table though.

    Well if they wont let you go to Vegas i'll take you on the Ark!

    2nd thing i would take is a Sat Nav to get us there!

    i hope the legend phil helmuth jr gets a mention on chat box i think his antics sometimes are outrageous but the man must have a poker talent 12 wsop bracelets & 89 wsop cashes speak for itself

    He seems to get beat up a bit when he sits on the cash tables with the likes of durrrr and ivey etc etc but then again who wouldnt ? but as far as tournaments go his results are outstanding and without doubt something that any poker player throughout the world would aspire to achieve.

    Love watching him aswell cos always a good laugh when he starts steaming :)

    Hi Anna & Tikay,

    Am sure it will be a great show Anna, even if there are only "2 brains on the sofa" tonight. (and still only 1 beauty)

    What to take on the Ark would be easy, 1st my coffee & 2nd my laptop, I cant live without either :-) Was my daughter  but 2/3 aint bad.

    With regard to Dym bubble play, although I am fairly new to it, its all about stack size with regard to the other players & the blinds. That with position. & to be honest then the cards you have dont matter that much.
    A lot of the time the bubble play is down to the power of the "all in" easy to shove & hard to call, you have to decide if the other 3 players will  take 1 of themselves out or are you going to have to risk your stack to win the game. I hope Tikay agrees.
    Anway I am off to practice, but will be listening for all of Tikays advice & yours if you have any.

    Hi Anna and Tikay, best of luck with tonights show.
    What 2 things would I take on the arc. No.1 would have to be my Fiance, and No.2 would have to be a pair of ear plugs (see No. 1).

    It depends. :)

    I had one DYM a few days ago where first hand, 3 players were all in, AJ v AK v KK, the Kings held, so I was already on the bubble. Obviously, being on the bubble when the blinds are 10/20 and everyone has 100 big blinds is totally different to being on the bubble when the blinds are 300/600 and the average stack is 5 big blinds.

    1-i would make sure the_don90 was on the ark

    2-i cant decide between my phone and my laptop

    Hi Anna 'the lens loser' Fowler and Tony 'the lard loser' Tikay,

    Have a good show tonight. would you mind looking at my thread in poker clinic called"scotty77 told me to...." as it refers to a pertinent question for DYM bubbles referring to a Bubble Factor value which allows you to get the true tournament pot odds for calling an all-in shove by an opponent.

    The bubble factor is defined as the ratio of the cost of losing compared to the cost of winning so cn never be more than one which it is in cash games.

     For true Tournament odds you divide the pot odds by this bubble factor value which stems from the ICM.
    However this value would surely vary from a 50-30-20 sitngo to a dym.

    So my qestion is what value BF do you use in a dym?

    My two things for the ark would be:

    1. A lifebelt. I've got two left feet and would be sure to fall overboard at some point.

    2. Tikay. It would be nice to have someone on board who remembered what roads were.

    Firstly, have a great time tonight(even although you are working).

    1st in line would be Tikay and Orford(they count as one cause they IS a team) as I would always have some humour or entertainment at least.

    2nd my lovely boyfriend Arthur, aka ARRO54, just cause I'd miss him otherwise.

    Or, the smart thing to do would be to take my whole house with boyfriend in it and all would be hunky dory lol.

    Message for Tikay- don't' know if you read my reply to your response in the forum re ipads, but thanks and it is "Mrs" just to straighten out any doubts on gender :-) x

    Hi Anna & Teeks,

    Have a good show! Wouldn't the Ark have many decks? ;-))  Great blog BTW!
    I'd have to take Las Vegas & a clean pair of socks.

    With regards to DYM bubble I find it depends!  I've seen some loose all-ins on tables where you wouldn't expect to see it & some amazing tight play on the bubble of a 30p DYM. (Are they gone for good BTW?)   I'm hoping to pick up some tips tonite.
