Online Tells

Another interesting one to debate...

Are there any online tells you've spotted based on how quickly people bet or the size of their bets?

Feel free to share your theories!

Thanks

A minimum "C-bet" is usually weakness  or the player has missed the flop.

ps. every time I min C-bet now I will have smashed the flop. :-)

    Be aware of "Away" players.
Its not always as it seems.
Been in the SB many of times and the BB shows "Away". Action folded round to me and i raise any 2 to steal and suddenly BB sits back in a re-raises!
If the time bar is green be aware.
    If its red they're disconnected.

Insta limp, followed by insta re raise to a raise= aces.

been noticing more of this myself recently.
it,s not enough to be overly concerned about atm,but it will be a tactic i,m sure some people will be exploiting more and more.

    If that's the case Rich,

Definitely make sure you mention the ps. at the end of my "online tell" that's gotta be worth its weight in gold or chips at least.

Interesting post. I want to know what the following line means: call pre-flop raise out of possition. min-donk bet the dry flop. For example, NL4 and I raise to 16p on the button with AQo, big blind calls, everyone else folds. Flop comes J73r and the opponent donk leads for 4p into a 34p pot. What does it mean and what's the best respons? It seems to be unique to sky poker too. I've played on a few other sites recently and come back to sky and everyone's doing it. Is it some sort of hip new floating bet. Like what tripple range merging was a few years back?

    three... two... one... MERGE!!!

Tends to mean that villain has a very small piece of the flop and hopes you'll fold, but they will still call any sensible raise. 2nd or 3rd pair or a draw.

The most obvious timing tell is when an opponent insta calls on flop it often indicates a weak to medium made hand or a draw. This is because they are not considering raising or folding. Also we can usually eliminate trapping because even online players normally give it the "Hollywood" when trapping for at least alittle while before calling.

...and then there's the reverse tells! It's starting to get complicated now.....

definatly, but its like balancing your range and bet sizings and playing unexploitable, not worth doing if your opponents arn't exploiting your unbalanced range and sizings.
For most people using reverse tells isnt going to be all that useful, how many players are correctly picking up and exploiting there opponents tells for you to use reverse tells on them? not many at the stakes I play at anyway.

When the chat box is full of         "***k you ****er"

Then that player has usually lost a hand or been busted out

If you are the BB & the pot is unopened to the SB who just makes up then raise him/her up as 8/10 times they are weak & will fold.
