Yeah the guy who bubbles is the guy who went all-in with the lowest chips. That's why if someone has 1.5k shoves, a 4k stack calls, it's best to completely stay out of it if you have less than 1.5k, even if you a REAL premium hand, because you will basically HAVE to beat both of them to survive.
Scenario: 4 players left with 2 short stacks with exactly the same chips. They both go all in and one of the large stacks decides to call and knocks them both out. Who comes 3rd and cashes? Posted by VespaPX
The priority works like this:
1) Highest chip stack pre 2) Highest hand ranking (of the two)
If 1 & 2 are equal (which we are never aware of happening before) a random 'winner' is picked. As you'll understand, this is very unlikely.
