This might be a wierd question. But I want to play live, but because I'm disabled I'd findthis very hard.
Is there anyway I can get help moving my chips?

    Hi,

I don't know the answer to this but at a guess i'm sure every effort would be made to allow you to play by all live venues.
I play at DTD and the facilties for disabled players etc.. ramps and toilets are excellent.
Maybe it would be a good idea to contact the casino in advance and explain your situation.
If you were to announce your intentions during a hand e.g. ' i want to raise to 300' i'm sure the dealer would be able to move your chips.
    Hope this helps.
    Good luck

I wonder if the dealer would do for you....or if there was no dealer could you bring someone with you to move chips.

In my local casino we have a disabled lad play. In the dealer dealt tournies he is sat next to the dealer who will show him his cards and move his chips for him. I know this lad has played at Dusk till Dawn quite a few times and they also do this for him.
I think the best idea would be to get in contact with where you want to play and i am positive they will be willing to help.
I hope everything works out and you can get to play live , good luck.

Any casino that won't do their best to accomodate you aren't worth giving your money to. I'm sure if you rang your local casino and asked to speak to the cardroom manager they will be able to help you. Last time I played there was a blind gentleman playing with us. I wasn't sat on his table but from what I understand the dealer called out all the actions of all the players, community cards, stack sizes when requested etc. and whispered his hole cards to him. I'm not sure how he did, I was out of the tournement pretty quickly.

I would have thought they would be able to rearrange the table so that you were sat in seat one (next to the dealer) and then you would just need to verbally declare your bets. The dealer would then move your chips for you when necessary. Make sure you take a card protector with you though. All players are responsible for protecting their hand and if you went with this arrangement there is certainly an increased chance of having your cards mucked by the dealer by mistake. You don't want to have your aces folded for you pre-flop. Card rooms are very strict about this rule
