Ive been on Sky poker a fair amount of time now and to be honest never win much . I have plenty of fun and great chats with fellow players but am never going to make too much of an impact on this site .HOWEVER I also play 2 other online sites and do very very well . Why ?? Because Sky is the best site with the best players and best experts ,all the knowledge gained from Carlo TK and Orford is free and invalueable , used on other poker sites  with players from outside the UK who mostly dont watch Sky poker Clinic etc etc it gives you a distinct edge .
So keep up the good work Sky poker and I will always play a little on here so you earn a bit back in rake from me  for the undoubted brilliant knowledge I am gleaning from the site .
As for TK what a star , ignore his advice at your peril .
Do other site players find this to be true to ?
Cheers All
Dave
ps the LB in my name is not line backer , little boy etc etc lol  its for Lucy & Ben my kids

Honestly, no, think this is backwards, but depends where you playing I guess. And also depends what stakes you are playing. I'd say the low limits on sky are actually far lower in quality than some of the major poker sites, though I'd say good chance the high limits are about the same or tougher because of the smaller player pool. SO would depend what limits you are playing to be honest as to if this is accurate or not.

Also, some what depends what time of the day you play other sites, as some countries are worse than others at poker, and skys player pool is UK players and other sites are world wide player base. So swings and roundabouts it can be depending on time of day, and what day of the week as well, as weekend the quality is always going to be largely worse.

Yeah I take your point on time of day etc
and I play mid to high on sky so find good players abound there to be honest
On other outside UK sites I play every day at all times and the levels of competence are to my mind attrocious
WSOP has paid for me footie season ticket this year in winnings over all however I play far more aggressive there as they are mainly donks from the so called stronger playing nations .Its only an opinion of course but I still say sky players tend to be better players . Maybe its because we ARE  Brits  lol

    Hi
I think its bad vibes you are getting from peeps who prob never played a real live face to face poker game

also on other sites exactly the same moans and groans are heard

The truth is stranger things happen off line than on line and if you play at lower levels with not so good players they will shove when in real life with a decent player who would be reading them and vice versa   this would not happen unless they maybe felt lucky or had a few drinks .

I will give you an example
4 x Aces were showing on the table with the river to go  I go all in with kk and everybody else jams   who wins ??

Most peeps don't even know the answer
Its lack of knowledge I think that makes people think its all a fix but the eg above happened at a casino not on line so is the casino fixed  !!

Sky is to bigger name to cheat punters who in the end keep the profits rolling in so why would they do it , its fraud if they did and overnight the site would be wiped out if this were true and was universally known

Poker players very rarely go on and on about their great wins but continually gripe over their bad beats .

    What game do you play?
    What stakes do you play?
What other sites do you play on?

Why bother creating thread if your going to be so vague.

Since i started on Sky a few years ago it was said among the forums and friends that Sky was a soft site - easier to win on than other sites , but with the growth and all the knowledge you get from Sky through the forum and ch 865 , Sky players have deifinately caught up and is a much harder site than it was at the lower levels anyway
When ever i look on sharkscope it seems the easier games are elsewhere especially at this time and into the early hours as with the time difference. I,d imagine through the day as well as in other countries it will be night time wheras a lot  of the daytime players are not recreational players

I play Holdem on PKR 888 and WSOP  and of course Sky
I play high stakes on WSOP as I find that players on there are good but not as good as Sky and also I dont know who they are so have no fear of them .

I played on Full Tilt as well and am still owed money from there like so many others

I also mix it up on all sites depending on time of day as to what stakes to play

It was a general question and glad to get your reply
    Cheers

I would have to completely disagree. I play on 888, Stars, BetFair and Party and the players on Sky are the worst online players i've come across at lower limits. Even 1c/2c on Stars isn't as bad as 4p/8p here. So much limping, so many bad calls. But if you can thin the field pre flop, post flop is usually a doddle. TAG ABC = profits and even just breaking even when you're running horrendously bad.

    .....i don't understand.

Of course there will always be good players on any site. But when you talk about a player pool at certain stakes you have to generalise, and at  NL4-NL8 on here the players are the worst i've ever seen. I'm not even very good at poker and yet right now i'm sat at two NL4 tables, one with just over 4x buy in and one double stacked. I've been 9x stacked on here before. The most i've ever been on any other site is about double stacked.

I was a losing poker player, read 2 books through once and then became a winning player. In 8 days i quadrupled my bankroll at NL4 on here. Can't do that on any other site i play on, playing exactly the same way. With the growth of the site the standard is actually getting worse i would say.

Feel free. I only play big pairs, big suited connecting broadway cards and small pocket pairs ;) You can't mix it up at these levels cause you have far too many calling stations to get your raise through.
