Hi

I'm looking to invest in a Mac to play poker as well as other things. With a 21.5inch screen, how many cash games can I play in mini-view, with minimal overlapping.

Link to the Mac in question above.

Thanks for any responses.

I have the 27" and I could probably play 18 to 24 tables,  i would assume the 21 would be ok for around 12

Splendid, so would that be without any overlap as well or would there be some overlap - 21inch one that is?

I've got one. You can easily fit 8-12 on there i think but the most i've ever done was about 6 but there is loads of room left over. Resizeable tables are imminent so i think you'd easily get 12.

OK just sized out a Mini Table on my screen I can get 5 across and 3 down without overlaps, so 15 tables comfortably

I think you could get 8 very easily but you would have to maybe have a bit of overlap with 12.

    Cheers

Oh and on a side note MACS RULE

In addition to being good size-wise, once you've had a mac you'll never want to go back to a windows machine because they're rubbish. Mac's just work and they're fuss-free and will last forever if you look after them.

Just saw the giant 'MACS RULE' thing. YES.

You can literally run 5/6/7 heavy programs at once with little laggage.

Not sure if sky client runs on mac osx, so are you going to be running in browser?, or running vmware?

21 inch would be a total waste of money because resolution is basic.
27 inch would do the trick but you could get a much cheaper windows equivelent.

^ resolution is absolutely superb. But agree you could get a desktop computer with bigger screen for half the price. But why pay £500 for something that will need replacing/upgrading/virus scanning etc in a year or two when you can buy a mac and just keep it forever for £999.
