I have a cheapish laptop. Acer Aspire 5733, 4GB DDR3 memory, 640GB HDD (I know nothing about computers I just copied what was written on the laptop).

Was £350 and it can handle 6 tables, I never play any more so I don't know if it would handle 8

Your laptop is only half of the problem, the sky poker software is the other half. It uses 10 times more recourses then other software like pokerstars.

i don't think playing 6 tables will ever allow you to be sociable tbh, so just go play on the comp !

I have 4gb ram 2.1Ghz pentium CPU samsung laptop and it becomes unplayable after 6 tables (6 tables it starts to lag, 5 tables always OK), so something better than mine. I'd suggest getting the best system you can afford in your budget

The most i can play on a laptop is 4 tables, unless you play on mini view?

I could play more but he overlap gets too much.

If you must use a laptop then i would say get a hdmi lead and plug it into a 27+ inch monitor.
